Are people on the wind up?!

Kolarov has been much improved this season thanks to the improved balance of the side. He's more of an attacking threat than Clichy too and has been part of a defence that has kept several clean sheets already this season.

Do you genuinely think he's a good defender? Valencia just strolled past him all day & he's not exactly the most unpredictable of players, knock it forward & try and cross, never cuts inside yet somehow Kolarov still struggled.

He's the best fullback in the league at putting in crosses for me, can be deadly with them, and can shoot/take dead balls. But you need to weigh it up in terms of pro's & con's; what area are we weaker at? For me it's defensively so I guess I lean towards someone who's a stronger defender but lacking his attacking abilities - we have enough goals in the team with or without him playing.

Don't disagree with you that he's had a good season, but he's always had a large shortfall in his defensive capabilities & that's unlikely to change as it's just his style.

I think we can safely assume that both Mancini and Pellegrini realised he wasn't great at defending but is very good at attacking and that is what they sent him out asking him to do.

And in his time here he's been a definite success. His goal against Sunderland was a huge landmark moment in our first PL title.
