The lack of creativity by our full backs is making us very predictable. Kolorov doesn't have enough in his locker to be a top left back. Sterling shouldn't show him too much respect.he almost feels obliged to give kolo the ball as he has run 60m to o be there. Sagna is predictable as predictable can be. Both flanks are compromised. Parts of arsenals success is belerine. He is having a cracking season. We miss zabs movement. He actually gives yaya and Silva a lot of options. Sagna is very limited in this aspect. Its costing us.
This. Bernat on the left, Zab back on the right.

Both Kolarov and Sagna are a liability and could have cost us the game with stupid decision making and panicky defending last night, we need to get adequate wingbacks in next summer.

Sagna had a very good game last night, its not vey often he doesnt. In a season where many have under performed,Sagna has been one of our better players.

When you consider last night was one of his better games............

To be fair - it was the anticipation of one of his cockups rather than the actual cockups that was frightening last night. He did do one, but thankfully it wasn't punished.
As for his crossing, most we're ok. You have to give their defence some credit.

Thought in the first half he had one of better games. It's not easy to cross to no-one or to someone who is 5ft tall stood amongst 6 footers. After that his attacking chances were butchered by our loss of control of the ball in midfield.

You have to ask yourself why the fullback positions haven't been suitably upgraded in the past two seasons, more so the LB position.

Every other part of the team has had an upgrade yet nothing fullback wise.

Zabba was never going to be able to sustain our method of attack over a lengthy period on his own and Sagna isn't in his league.

Kolorov I'm sorry just isn't good enough and ditto Clichy-Clichy better at defending but abysmal offensively.

Here's to hoping they are the first positions to be upgraded next season.

Put 11 crosses into the box last night...All of them unsuccessful and none of them particularly dangerous.

Kolarov's fault, or the number of Leicester bodies in there making it nigh on impossible to pick out a City player? I thought he was ok last night, and generally speaking he's a decent attacking full back (although not always the best defensively). Some of the criticism of him on here is ridiculous......and apropos nothing, him and Joe were virtually the only two players who could be bothered to come over and applaud us last night

Just the usual armchair boo boys exaggerating the negatives and nitpicking. Thankfully their opinions on the internet mean diddly squat so one just learn to ignore them lol. BM tend to get overly self entitled and negative theses days so one has to adapt.
Mate I am usually positive but if you can tell me when he last put a good ball in never mind provided an assist I'd love to hear it because this is what I am told he is good at.

Our tactics are to blame. Set-up to get it wide and put crosses in with only Aguero/Silva/Sterling/De Bruyne to aim at...So they have to be perfect and on the ground to be effective. We need to invest in a striker who is a mix of our current two, but taller.

A couple of his crosses were truly woeful and another that I recall inside a crowded box was not hit in the direction of any City player, as far as I could tell from my armchair.

He is though over criticized and is in fact one of the most consistent players in the league (Clichy just happens to be even more consistent) and, based on the player performance index, has been the league's best full back this season.

Last night actually, an excellent cross to the near post in the first half that Aguero attacked but a defender just got there ahead of him and knocked it out for a corner.

Yes he shanked a couple last night but I agree with the posters above, he mostly only has one target and four or five defenders to aim at and that's usually a smallish striker so lifting the cross isn't really an option.

It's pretty obvious what City are going to do when Kolarov goes forward and Sterling seems to only have in his head what he's been told which makes it even more obvious. So for a lack of players to be in the box at times must be infuriating for Kolarov when the opposition even know what's coming. However Kolarov is one dimensional, easily improved on and seems to be another who is either lauded as brilliant or deemed as shite. I'm in the middle, average player at this level who could and probably should be improved on.

I think he's been anything other than consistent this season, he's either very good, or pretty dire, defensively last night he was the latter. I have no idea how this player performance index is 'measured', but if he's the best fullback in the league, then it probably says more about the league than it does AK.
