merlin does it week in, week out in the hardest league in the world , xavi and iniesta have to play half a dozen games a season and for the rest of the season barca stroll around either finishing invariably in 1st or 2nd place. Merlin is yet to prove himself in the champs league , but he is playing for an inexperienced club with regards champs league football , (where as xavi and iniesta played for the best club side in the world for 2 or 3 seasons) but judge him when his career ends ,hes got at least 5 more seasons , to shut the "city fans" up, who think iniesta is a better player.

Absolutely brilliant today!

He's our best football player and arguably the best I've ever seen play for City.

He's not as good as Iniesta though. Don't know why that's even an argument. Iniesta has been the best player outside Messi and CRonaldo in the last six or seven years.

Silva is on par if not better than iniesta. Got to remember, iniesta is playing in a barca side who have played togethor since youth level. What you get with silva most times is that it seems he's doing everything by himself for city. He is by far the best player in the premier league. Silva has created the most chances in the league for 4 years running (hope im right there).

Slow down now .

Silva has been better than Iniesta for the last 14 months.. and anyone who says otherwise is talking shit.

Iniesta was comfortably the 3rd best player though 3/4 years ago when Barca were miles better than anyone else.

Did I hear the Sky commentary state that both Carzola and Mata were on a par with Silva? WTF? They are light years behind.

Ive said it time and time again he really is on another level.
his movement awarness of players around him touch vision weight of pass he really is a joy to watch.

La Liga is the hardest league in the world in terms of quality. The only teams to knock Spanish teams out of European competition last season? Other Spanish teams.
