This might sound strange but I think he can learn more about how to be controlled in defending playing alongside Martin than he can with Vinny. Keep them together for Sat again & make sure Vinny is fully fit before bringing him back.

Well, thats one of the partnerships which looks top-class.
Well done Martin-strong,calm and decisive .when it mattered.
Mangala,s positional play was superb.Reads the game very well,generally.

Thought he put in a much more controlled game tonight. Was where he needed to be when he needed to be there. Good work form both center halves executing the plan together and working within themselves.

Way easier getting big players up for the small games than small game players having the balls for the big ones. Never any doubts, he's going to be a monster.

Many of his long passes are superb, reminiscent of a Gerrard, Pirlo or Yaya. Very good game tonight. Well done all the boys!
