Re: Mangala signs!

Deschamps should have presented him with some match fitness, but decided to call him up and not give him ONE MINUTE of football over two games. Deschamps seems to hate City, even Sagna plays less than he used to while Clichy and Nasri are exiled. In fact, Deschamps called up the seldom capped Mathieu (new Barcelona signing, age 30) and put him right in the team.

They have no obligation to sort our players match fitness levels out we should be doing that ourselves. He's currently like 4th choice for France anyways.

Re: Mangala signs!

I can see why Nasri isn't the squad and debuchy is better than sagna. In my opinion clichy is better than evra but they also have a good young left back in digne. I don't agree with mangala being called up for 2 friendlies with no minutes. He does seem to have a problem with mangala.

Re: Mangala signs!

Mangala was one of only 2 outfield players not given a single minute over the two friendlies (the other a 30-year-old Lille midfielder). Something is up there, especially when a nothing special player like Mathieu comes out of international wilderness and is given 90 minutes (coincidentally right after he joins Barca from Valencia). And Debuchy hasn't proven he is better than Sagna at all - Sagna was better in the Premier League last season and Arsenal wanted to keep him rather than replace him.

I'll listen to someone try to justify how Debuchy is better than Sagna if they want to make their case, but I certainly wouldn't suggest it so casually like you have done. Newcastle supporters were by and large happy to see the back of him and bring in a replacement for the money they got. He's built a reputation as a defender who isn't very good at defending. Jury's still out for this season, but under the circumstances I'm leaning heavily toward Sagna.

Debuchy is a liability, he doesn't have much positional sense. He is one of these more attacking fullbacks who is hopeless at defending. The thing is he isn't even that good at attacking. In Arsenals CL qualifier he was the weak link at the back and time and time again got caught out vs Besiktas. When he gets mad he will start diving into tackles and over committing himself, no self control.

The only reason he starts for France is because he plays for Arsenal now, the same reason Mathieu suddenly gets called up at the age of 30 (despite being a good CB/FB for years) as soon as he joins Barca.

I hope they live to regret "exiling" Nasri with their media witch hunt (conveniently ignoring Evra who was one of the main instigators of the world cup rebellion) now that Ribery has retired. Valbuena and Griezmann aren't as good and after them they have no quality backup, their last game they had Sissoko on the wing for gods sake.

Why does there always have to be n agenda the manager is entitled to think he has better players than mangala

Agreed - something's up - he didn't get a kick in Brazil either. You pay £32m you would think we want him playing by now.
