He's young and has bags of potential. Destined to be a top player and a real fans favourite.

We had 12 clean sheets this season, and Mangala played in 10 of those, other two he was injured, so based on that stat only, he is our best defender this season because from those 10, five were with Kompany as a partner, five with Demichelis which proves he is adaptable to his partner in defence.

He's also had a red card, gave a penalty away, was changed position at home to Burnley because he was struggling so badly and scored an own goal this season - I don't rate him ane stats about clean sheets aren't going to change that. I'd rather base it on what I see

A lot of the criticism he gets especially in the media is based on his first few appearances when he was a bit rash, it seems to take people a long time to realize that since Christmas he has improved a great deal in his decision making. Like Demechelis last year it takes a long time for the so called experts in the media to take any notice of improved performances.
