When defending from the front, Swansea shaped so as to have us play the ball to Mangala, and once the ball reached him they pushed up and put the press on. If Swansea are identifying him as the weak point, stronger teams will do so, too.

I prefer a right footed and left footed pairing-recent times, Dunne/Distin, Kompany/Lescott..

I am not sure whether he's left or right footed, heseems equally adept at slicing the ball with either. In fact, he makes Joleon Lescott look like Ronal Koeman.

He's had his chance now. We all wanted him to develop but it's not happening. Whoever scouted this turd should be on the dole now. Positionally he is as bad as anything I've ever seen, I liken it to watching a player in an under 11s game. He plays in every position on the pitch in the space of 90 mins and he's no fucking good in any of them.

He was poor today - without a doubt. Positionally and his decision-making were not of the required level. Saying that, Otamendi wasn't a lot better IMO. I did see some neat play from Mangala directly before the winning goal but overall he's got to improve a lot.

Clumsy mess.

Needs to be taken out of the team for his own good and a decision taken at the end of the season.

I was one that didnt want him,his debut against Chelsea was great but he is struggling as I thought he would after watching him play at Porto.

Demi,Mangala to go out in Jan with someone to come in to play alongside Ota who I think is a good signing.

Dont think Denayer is good enough at CB,RB maybe?

Kompany looks to be a luxury we cant afford now,need a consistent pairing.

I think Otamendi has also been struggling the last few games. Both need Kompany at the moment and we need him back desperately. We have no leader in that back four. We will never know if Denayer is good enough until we give him some games, and should have stayed this season with Demi leaving.

I had faith initially.

Its not looking good is it? It was a serious amount of money for potential. For that price he should really be the finished article. Instead we let a promising young defender who was on the books for a fraction, disappear?

I think he'll be moved on in the summer, maybe even January of we can replace him.

Kompany is made of glass. After the last window I never thought I'd say that a CB would be our top priority.
