Whats playing out of position got to do with not seeing the obvious square pass and instead pitting your CB in trouble.
He is shite
As someone else said - despite a mere 8m buyout, no one else was in for him, not even Arse

But that's what it's come too - an average player runs around a little and we think he's good.

but that isn't just what he does though is it, he drives the team forward and makes some good forward passes. yes he runs around and puts effort in, thats exactly what every player in the team should do. what are you expecting from him ? he's not world class, the again our supposed world class players have performed a lot lower than delph has

he really has. he's not going to be world class, but for 8m he's totally worth it. we dont have to have 11 world class 50m players....

Basically agree with this. He was signed as depth and should be used as such. The fact that he started this game is much more an indictment of our midfield situation than him.

Certainly agree with the last sentence

We want to win trophies, we should be buying better players than Delph.

Not going to slate the guy though, was a shame he was taken off and not Yaya.

I am shocked to see Delph getting stick on here. He played very well while he was on.He took 2 hefty knocks in the first half.He linked up well with Kolorov.
City had 54% possession in first 30 mins. - problem was they did nothing about it. De Bruyne was our best attacker and went very close to score when probably he should have seen
Silva and passed to him. As soon as we did not take our chances I knew that Arsenal would. In the middle of the 2nd half they could have scored 2 more. We were all at sea in defence.
What happened in the last 10 mins. Arsenal were rocking - but we were weak in finishing. They certainly celebrated at the end - thinking they had won the title.

He s a good squad player and certainly gives his all and not let us down. However, let's be honest if we have ambitions of the Champions League etc he would not be a regular first team player, but then the whole midfield have struggled this season so has had his chance.

What he did though in the run up to the second goal was piss poor. Everyone knows Mangala's deficiencies on the ball, so why he gave him an awful back pass rather than play the ball to the man in space is unforgiveable.
