So now they have Frank. The team are training here in January so he will get to know his team mates, they get him match fit, and are still moaning.
I have followed progress in New York for months on the NYCFC forum, often against vitriol because I am not a New York Fan, I am an interested Man City Fan. I can cope with that, FFS I have been a city fan for years and seen it all from different fanbases.

But the some of the arrogant bastards on the NYCFC forum are taking the anti Man City stance to a new level now. The link, is an exchange against a Man City fan from New York.

The Comment

"Let him bask in his transcontinental glory now. In a couple years Manchester will be nothing more than the place Karl Pilkington and United was from"

Comes from a moderator on the site.

This is a link to the whole conversation now going on on the site, and some of it is priceless. Take a moment to look at post 899 on page 45 (another Mod, and this one claims to be a City fan) and 924 on 47...

It is getting to be impossible to be a Man City fan following NYCFC

Bunch of entitled cunts. I'm sticking with my earlier opinion. I couldn't give a fuck about NYCFC, I've never had a second team and I don't intend to start supporting one now.

FFS, a lot of Nycfc fans are not City fans. Generally New Yoekers support foreign clubs across the board. City, Pool, United, Chelsea, Arsenal, Everton and Real, Bayern, Barca's etc. they are excited about getting a pro club. Happy it has the same parent as City, but they don't all necessarily like City. Just like there are Melbourne fans who are United fans. Just coz these clubs are linked to City doesn't mean all the fans like City. This is there home town club. They watch, enjoy and or support a wide range of clubs abroad. So sure, you'd find anti City Nyfc fans. That's par for the course. But reading some of the bile here, suggest they are justified.
Same parent as City??

City are the parent. City own NYCFC

CFG own NYCFC actually.. You think City will fork up half a billion for a stadium in New York?
Manchester City will be the majority owner of the new Club. As an investor, the Yankees will be an active member of the ownership group.

<a class="postlink" href="http://www.mcfc.co.uk/News/Club-news/2013/May/Club-announcement-New-York-City-FC-to-launch-21-May" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;">http://www.mcfc.co.uk/News/Club-news/20 ... nch-21-May</a>

So no, I was quite correct.

Ownership is utterly irrelevant other than the same owner ADUG owns the whole lot and they make decisions regardless of the structure underneath.

NYCFC are there to help City in the long term, nothing more, nothing less and it makes a big difference, City are very much, The Daddy as opposed to the sibling.

Re: Frank Lampard

All of the clubs in the group will benefit from membership of the group. Sponsorship, shared resources etc.

MCFC won't see any profits from the other three clubs, we won't need to absorb any losses.

What benefits CFG will be what drives decisions made within the group, even if that is to the disadvantage of MCFC. It won't work otherwise.

Re: Frank Lampard

Can you imagine how much they'll whinge if they develop a homegrown player good enough for the City.

Nasty as this may sound (and I do want to see NYCFC prosper) I'll fucking enjoy it (if it ever happens, which I doubt.)

Re: Frank Lampard

I reckon it's a done deal, sorted out, signed sealed and delivered and we'll announce it a couple of days before we play Chelsea..
There Jose you ****, have some of that, it should give you something to moan about in your press conference...

I cannot see any direct profits for many years to come, hence the umbrella of CFG (I think, I am no expert) so I could not give a toss whether we are Mother, Father, Brother, Sister, Uncle or second cousin twice removed, I think the structure is probably irrelevant right now
Where MCFC will undoubtedly benefit is with a rise in exposure in these countries should come a rise in revenue from TV money and merchandise but in the short term that is probably going to be small fry compared with the investment, but at least it comes into the club.

I do agree that all group clubs will benefit from being a member of the group though

There's no point in arguing with the fuckers mate. I'm writing a full dissertation on the bastard thing and they banned me on the NYCFC forums when I opened their eyes. Proper vanillas on that forum, you can tell who the discharge are on here.
