Re: Frank Lampard (staying until end of season confirmed P11

Every club is deserving of respect, whether they've been in existence 100 years or 1.

This may sound controversial, but I don't support City because they've been around a long time. The club could have existed since the 16th century and it wouldn't matter to me just the same as if it had only existed since 1993. Age doesn't lend an ounce of credibility. Just means your old.

You Think that is controversial hahaha.. i blow you out of the water..

The Wounded Knee Massacre occurred on December 29, 1890,[5] near Wounded Knee Creek on the Lakota Pine Ridge Indian Reservation in the U.S. state of South Dakota. On the day before, a detachment of the U.S. 7th Cavalry Regiment commanded by Major Samuel M. Whitside intercepted Spotted Elk's band of Miniconjou Lakota and 38 Hunkpapa Lakota near Porcupine Butte and escorted them five miles westward (8 km) to Wounded Knee Creek, where they made camp.

The remainder of the 7th Cavalry Regiment arrived, led by Colonel James W. Forsyth and surrounded the encampment supported by four Hotchkiss guns.[6]

On the morning of December 29, the troops went into the camp to disarm the Lakota. One version of events claims that during the process of disarming the Lakota, a deaf tribesman named Black Coyote was reluctant to give up his rifle, claiming he had paid a lot for it.[7] A scuffle over Black Coyote's rifle escalated and a shot was fired which resulted in the 7th Cavalry's opening fire indiscriminately from all sides, killing men, women, and children, as well as some of their own fellow soldiers. The Lakota warriors who still had weapons began shooting back at the attacking soldiers, who quickly suppressed the Lakota fire. The surviving Lakota fled, but U.S. cavalrymen pursued and killed many who were unarmed.

By the time it was over, more than 200 men, women, and children of the Lakota had been killed and 51 were wounded (4 men, 47 women and children, some of whom died later); some estimates placed the number of dead at 300.[4] Twenty-five soldiers also died, and 39 were wounded (6 of the wounded would later die).[8] At least twenty soldiers were awarded the Medal of Honor.[9] In 2001, the National Congress of American Indians passed two resolutions condemning the awards and called on the U.S. government to rescind them

Now... we will let them have Lampard when he has finished his full time work.. he is not ready to retire yet.

Despite living in a city with another major MLS franchise who I previously kinda-sorta supported—but never vehemently by any means).

I do not understand I kind of supported.

I live in D.C., but only moved here when I was almost 25. I paid zero attention, at all, to the MLS before 2011-2012 really, and I've been to only a few games. So it's my local "club" since if I had to choose any of the MLS franchises it's clearly the one I previously had the most affinity with. NYCFC changed all that.

It's hard to understand, I know, but the league isn't even 20 years old. None of these fanbases are entrenched really
.
So an American football fan watches a team for 20 years and still his loyalty is not entrenched? Fuck me.
You're not kidding, that really is hard to understand.

That's not really what I wrote, but OK, take your swipe at Americans.

You don´t get it I´m afraid... This is a matter of credibility for NYCFC, not about a single player.
The damage is done already though and CFG will pay for it for a long time.

I agree but the 'dont give a shit crew' are ignorant to the fact it is understandable why its caused such an reaction.! Imagine we had signed aguero, people got shirts with his name on and then the club loaned him out? Everyone on here would have gone apeshit! He had done the press conference, the photo shoots, the billboards in time square, people have bought seasons tickets and shirts with his name on? Soriano must be getting questioned by mansour on this?

This will be discussed as high as the crown prince´s court.. everything that affects the Abu Dhabi/USA PR is. So it will really be above Sheikh Mansour in a way.
Pmsl. Listen to yourselves.

Wipe your fannies.

I think this is the key from that SI piece.

“I could understand why their fans are unhappy, and I do believe [NYCFC] will work hard to build back that trust,” Garber told SI.com from Florida on Saturday night. “They’ve started that process already.

No real surprise, but good to see it recognised from several sides that trust was broken, but it can be rebuilt.
