1) Who do they support if their is no team/club do they sit in the pub cheering each other ??..................Some supporter clubs have an history much longer than the teams itself

2) They are NOT supporters of the club........ ,if the team disappear they might attach themselves to another club

3) They could have had a whip round $100 million and started a new club Before City football Group ............ .to make sure that a new club turn up in their area

But hey each to their own Eh ;)

They are football fans in New York City, they support the idea of a club in NYC.. They arrange parties and meetups, they got sponsors and political contacts in some degree. They speak to media and TV.
They expect NYCFC to live up to their standard you might say... ;)

1) So they are foottball fans (oops soccer) but they support an Idea in NY... cfg have turned that idea into a reality ...so whats the problem except they may have more people at the party or Bart may need a bigger soffa for the meet ups?

2) They are people who like to party KOOL and meet up WOW... just tell me Before cfg started this new Project how could they get sponsors.. and what an Earth would they talk to the polititians about ??? (going on your statment about the supporters clubs being Active Before the clubs are formed note YOUR WORDS)

3) So the standards that this supporters club has can you run them past me i am a bit confused... ( guys who like to party, and meet up, talk to tv and radio about a club that does not exist), or the standards of cfg a man who puts his hand in his pocket pulls out a wad and starts things moving...

Re: Frank Lampard (staying until end of season confirmed P11

I'm certainly on the side which is grateful we're keeping Frank until the end of the season, and reading some of the vitriol from sections of the NYC fan base doesn't enamour me to them in anyway. That said, for a project this size, with the money invested, it does seem to me that we've played this wrong from a PR point of view. There's definitely some ambiguity to what was being said when he he first moved and what's come out in the last week or so.
I won't be losing sleep over it though, and every goal/assist that come from Lampard will be greeted with extra gusto due to the collective head explosions of Mourinho/Wenger and half of the written press who can't stand to see us successful.

I only reproduced part of it but there's nothing in the whole thing that suggests he won't be starting the season with them.

True but there's also nothing in the statement saying he would.
The whole impression given was that he would be playing for NYCFC from the start of the MLSseason. There's further press releases talking about getting in shape with City for the start of the (MLS) season. But let's assume you have a point, in which case there's three possibilities:

1) He signed for NYCFC and we negotiated a loan to keep him playing and fit, which they've agreed to extend until the end of our season after seeing how valuable he is to us. At that point he goes to the MLS a couple of months late. That's not the end of the world.

2) He signed for them but there was no intention to let him play there until we'd finished with him (as you suggest) which is a bit naughty but I can live with.

3) He never really signed for them at all but for us (as is being suggested by the media) in which case NYCFC were either deceived or complicit. That's a PR disaster so if that's not the case then I'd expect the club to be quite clear about it but nothing's been said.
They certainly can't have been deceived, surely they would know whether they had signed him or not? (not just talked about it and presumed).

BTW that statement was ambiguous
and has signed a two-year contract which starts August 1st.
, there's no year so obviously they meant 2015 ;)

1) They will not accept a mini-MCFC as a true New York club.. Americans have an absolute dislike of farming clubs as they call the minor teams owned by major teams in their major leagues

2) Supporters groups in general got sponsors, regardless of there being a team or not.. See them more as a political pressure group if you like

3) The standards are basically equality, NYCFC as a club for everyone.. no favouritism towards any other clubs. This is where "Lampardgate" as some writers call it come in.

So what do we say to the New Yorkers that have bought tickets to see him and shirts with his name.. ?
This is a PR disaster worse than anything we have ever seen before, even papers in China and India are pushing this story. Abu Dhabi will not be happy I tell you.

Tell them they'll still see him but it will just be a bit later than they may have anticipated

You don´t get it I´m afraid... This is a matter of credibility for NYCFC, not about a single player.
The damage is done already though and CFG will pay for it for a long time.

I agree but the 'dont give a shit crew' are ignorant to the fact it is understandable why its caused such an reaction.! Imagine we had signed aguero, people got shirts with his name on and then the club loaned him out? Everyone on here would have gone apeshit! He had done the press conference, the photo shoots, the billboards in time square, people have bought seasons tickets and shirts with his name on? Soriano must be getting questioned by mansour on this?

Like I said before I get that it undermines NYCFC's credibility but comparing it to City is just nonsense. This is a team that effectively doesn't even exist yet not a club that has been in existence since the late nineteenth century. A bit of perspective needed.

Re: Frank Lampard (staying until end of season confirmed P11

Might sound harsh but I couldn't give a fuck about new york city or any other team in CFG (apart from city). I.support Manchester City and that's it, no one else. I'm buzzing we've got lampard until the end of the season and hopefully after that aswell.

This will be discussed as high as the crown prince´s court.. everything that affects the Abu Dhabi/USA PR is. So it will really be above Sheikh Mansour in a way.
