His goal against Chelsea meant we drew 1-1

His goal meant we beat Leicester 0-1.

His goal meant we beat Sunderland 3-2

2 wins + 1 draw = 7 points

But we already had a point against both Leicester and Sunderland, so one point from each game, which means Frank's goals turned one point into three in those two matches, not nil points into three.

Therefore, he has earned us five points.

Yeah good point, but based on what I've seen in the media they are using the 7 points as the actual outcome and how at the end of the Christmas period milestone it means Chelsea would be clear if they had not let Lampard go.

Their analysis appears to be -

Without Lampard's goal Chelsea win (3pts added to the gap)
Without Lampard's goal Leicester draw (2 pts added to the gap)
Without Lampard's goal Sunderland draw (2pts added to the gap)

It's all too simple, who's to say that if Lampard had been AN Other we wouldn't have still scored those goals and maybe more !!

Aside from the obvious advantages of keeping Lampard for the remainder of the season (and he has exceeded my expectations I must be honest) this is a PR cock-up of mammoth proportions and after the FFP slap in the face I am worried that the spotlight is back on us. The City haters and that rag c*nt Gill at UEFA will be queuing up to try and f*ck us over again!!!

You're preaching to the converted mate :) that's why I said it was "THEIR ANALYSIS" and what it "APPEARS TO BE". Just a load of journalistic bollox written to give the Chelsea boys something tangible to attach their grumbles onto.

I dunno, I saw the stat on MOTD just before I was about to press the skip button on the analysis of the City vs Sunderland match. Their take on it was the value of having Lampard in the side.

The only other place I've seen the stat is the Daily Fail which I used to check my info (it was was the first link available on Google with the stat clearly visible) before posting on here. I didn't read the article but the gist of it was they were calling Maureen a muppet for letting Lampard go.

I'm sure others in the media have used it for ways like you suggest, but I don't know becuase I ignore the cunts.

Why? Gill was quite keen to pay money to Kia Joorabchian and the company that owened Tevez in order to keep the player at United.

Why has somebody added either "Player Thread" or "Player Topic" to various threads?.

Should they not all be either Threads or Topics?.

Do we not all know that they are Threads or Topics relating to players?.

Chaos Theory innit! Have these people even seen Jurrassic Park?

Nothing illegal has taken place, and Frank has explained what's what. The fact that it's his decision too, and he's one of the better speakers in the game makes it hard for any of their shit to stick.
