Player topic: Frank Lampard (2014/15)

Re: Frank Lampard

It just seems WRONG seeing him in a City shirt, but if he carries on the way he has, I'd happily see him stay until the end of the season. It'll help keep Yaya fresh.

Signing of the season for me.

Arsehole Whinger, says its "immoral".

I was waiting to hear what this fanny had to say and I was a little shocked once I heard the interview.
Now unless my hearing is piss poor I did not hear the words "immoral" ever being used. However the SSN presenter made some comment about Wenger making a comment which "suggested" it was immoral.
SS AGENDA more like and I am not a fan of Whinger, but he may well have been set up on this occasion.

Agree it's all media generated bias towards city most media outlets try and put city in a bad light when ever possible

Can't he sort his own team out 1st?

Arsene Wenger questions Frank Lampard's loan at Manchester City

A potential extended loan spell for Frank Lampard at Manchester City could raise moral questions over the transfer, according to Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger.

Midfielder Lampard signed for Major League Soccer side New York City following his release by Chelsea, only to make a surprise return to the Premier League with the champions, who along with the New York Yankees baseball team purchased the MLS expansion franchise.

The good form of the 36-year-old, who scored twice in the midweek 7-0 Capital One Cup win over Sheffield Wednesday to add to the goal against his former club, has led to speculation City will look to extend the loan stint which currently runs to the start of January.

However, his agent Steve Kutner has denied the loan has been extended: "Frank’s contract with Manchester City runs until the 1st January. This is our only comment."

The 2015 MLS season is set to start again in March, and Lampard also insists there have not yet been any discussions with City over his future past the end of the year.

Wenger, who brought former Gunners captain Thierry Henry back from New York Red Bulls during the MLS close season in January 2012, believes any extension of Lampard's current arrangement might not sit well, even if it would be within Premier League guidelines.

"You always have two judgements, one is moral and one is legal and it just depends what you consider," said Wenger.

"I think 'is it legal?' You have to respect it after that and the player has to deal with his decisions.

"I respect the fact he wants to play at the top level and he maybe didn't have that opportunity any more at Chelsea.

"I don't really know (what) is behind all that.

"Was it always his plan to go to New York and go to Man City? I am not sure.

"I genuinely think he wanted to go abroad and to New York, and (then) suddenly was offered this solution to come back to the Premier League and he took it.

"He could explain that much better than I do, I don't know what is behind that."

Wenger is really getting on my tits - what the f@#k does it have to do with him? If he's being asked this at a presser why can't he just say he has no comment to make

He should take a leaf out of our Manager and refuse to get sucked into media fuckwits who just want a headline.
Well done to Manuel for basically telling those journalists to "shut the fuck up with your continual questions on other Clubs/Managers and Players.as it has fuck all to do with me".

Re: Frank Lampard

No one batted an eyelid when Whinger pulled Thierry Henry back from Red Bulls. Nothing Immoral about it at all. Very good business from City and both parties have a win win.

Re: Frank Lampard

I am a little disappointed that with all the money our owners have, they havent come up with a way to reverse the aging process....yet. ;)

A young Frank in our current team would be mind blowing.
