Player topic: Jesus Navas (2014/15)

Re: Jesus Navas, good but.....

Not doing it for me. He's got pace. We desperately need pace in the side as well. So why isn't it working?
His decision making is incredibly poor and he'll use his pace to create space or give himself the room but his final ball is shocking. He's not of the required standard. Simple as

Re: Jesus Navas, good but.....

This is my problem with navas. He is super fast, yet rarely even see him running at 60% speed. With his talent he could do a lot more.

Re: Jesus Navas, good but.....

What a shame we do nothing with the hundred corners he wins every game! Atletico Madrid would love a weapon like that since corners are like penalties for them.

Also, he handed Aguero our first goal on a plate today... except somehow it wasn't our first goal since Kun hit the bar.

He does make chances LC, but he sometimes lacks the willingness to run at the full back. We are crying out for someone who can run at huge pace who can beat two or three men and open up the defence.

Having not seen much of Isco until recently I was very much against him as he didnt seem to me to be the wide pacy option we need, I thought he was more in the Silva mould than say a Reus or Hazard and would have preferred either Reus or Sanchez to him.

But damn it we really f****** that transfer up. While not lightening quick, he is still faster than all our attacking midfielders except Navas, but more importantly he is a much superior dribbler and to beat a man you just don't need pace but also dribbling skills. And he has the touch of David Silva and he works hard too and is a superior goal score than all our attacking mids. At the moment he would be an improvement on both Nasri and navas and probably on Jovetic although Jovetic hasnt really had a chance.

Not for me either. Decision making needs to improve dramatically.
He needs to go on the outside more frequently than he does as well.

Adam Johnson pissed up is better than Navas

Nope.

No??? More goals, more assists in arguably a weaker side suggests otherwise
AJ: 25 assists in 97 apps (1 every 3.9 games)
Navas: 17 assists in 55 apps (1 every 3.2 games)

Navas is a World Cup and European Championship winner
Johnson is struggling to get in to an awful Sunderland side and can't get in to the worst England squad for decades.
