Never been his biggest fan. De Bruyne is a far better footballer. But football isn't about the 11 best players, it's about balance.

The first 5 games of the season Navas started, we won all 5 and didn't concede a goal.

Newcastle first half was the worst we played all season. Navas came on at half time and it's the best we've played all season.

Navas dropped, De Bruyne in, we lose 3 out of 4.

De Bruyne out, Navas in, we go to Seville and put in our best European performance of the modern era, possibly ever.

Navas back out today, we were poor. He came on and was possibly our best player after Otamendi.

Never thought I'd say it, but he's got to start the next few games, the evidence is overwhelming.

vs Villa: 12 crosses, 1 completed in the box; 1 completed to the opposite flank, 10 incomplete
vs Seville: 1 completed key pass from a corner
vs Norwich: 7 crosses, 7 incomplete
vs the rags: not on long enough
vs Seville: 7 crosses, one completed
vs Bournemouth: 2 crosses; 2 incomplete

etc etc
He set up both KDB and Sterling with crosses today and he also set Bony up (for his goal) with one against Sevilla so that's blown a massive fart hole in your made up stats.

Yeah I agree. Navas is criminally under rated, we're a far better side when he plays.

Navas getting a lot of unfair comments on here , provides good balance and works well with Sagna ,his final ball stillneeds work , but against the Se Villa and Aston Villa hes provided some quality crosses , and he wins countless corners , and always gives 100% , certainly the best natural right winger we have at the club , perhaps we should be looking at Yaya's and KDB poor efforts against Villa rather then rip into Navas at every opportunity.

if he only puts one on a plate for his team mates ,which he did today, then surely he has done his job

Our most dangerous player today. Laid 2 chances on a plate that were missed. Set up Bony for a goal and hit the post against Seville. He brings balance that we lack without him and we're a better team when he plays.

Who did these statistics, Stevie Wonder? Good God.
