No matter if our whole squad is fit, Navas is a definite starter from now on. HUGE past few games, was surprised to see him on the bench.

Never been his biggest fan. De Bruyne .....
Never thought I'd say it, but he's got to start the next few games, the evidence is overwhelming.

Spot on imho. He's definitely raised his game 2 levels this season - once at the start of the season, & again more recently. Seville and Villa - he was superb. He has become the fantastic option we hoped we'd signed.
For Christ's sake, keep it up, Jesus!

Until this season I've not been his biggest fan, but he is definitely stepped up his game and deserves his place in the squad. At times he could pick out better passes, but works hard and does provide balance. Not his fault the manager didn't bring on Nacho for Bony

Never been his biggest fan. De Bruyne is a far better footballer. But football isn't about the 11 best players, it's about balance.

The first 5 games of the season Navas started, we won all 5 and didn't concede a goal.

Newcastle first half was the worst we played all season. Navas came on at half time and it's the best we've played all season.

Navas dropped, De Bruyne in, we lose 3 out of 4.

De Bruyne out, Navas in, we go to Seville and put in our best European performance of the modern era, possibly ever.

Navas back out today, we were poor. He came on and was possibly our best player after Otamendi.

Never thought I'd say it, but he's got to start the next few games, the evidence is overwhelming.
Very telling statistics.

Someone else posted that we haven't lost a game this season when he has started. As you said we don't necessarily have to play the 'best' 11 players. He wouldn't be in that category, but when you add his frenzied energy to the silky skills of our elite players it certainly enhances our attacking threat. In fact he is playing so well I am surprised that Del Bosque hasn't turned to him again for the Spanish squad.

I thought he should have started against Villa, but then Pellegrini has the dilemma of who to bench to accommodate him. But I do agree with your conclusion. The case to start him is overwhelming.

If only people would accept he's not in our very top tier but a great lad who gives us an important dimension and sets an example in terms of commitment. Can't see why so many enjoy giving him stick.
