Well I look forward to realising his worth now KDB is here
Mate, they may play in similar positions, but they're different types of players. I watched KDB last night and whilst he played some spot on passes and crosses, many of them also went astray which is no better or worse than Navas. The difference is that one is the shiny new toy valued at £55.4m whilst the other is the cheaper old toy valued at £15m, but is one £40m better than the other?

I know the club have done their due diligence with KDB before signing him, but to be honest the few times I've seen him play I've never thought WOW! That's not to say he isn't worth the money we've paid or the trouble we've gone through to acquire his services, all I'm saying is just like any player we buy it's what KDB does when he finally pulls on our shirt and has time to settle down that will be the proof of the pudding as the last 2 players we've bought from Germany have proved.

With Navas, we know what we're getting and from what I've seen, I think he gets undeserved stick is all I'm saying. Having said all that having both Navas and KDB is a nice conundrum to have so you won't catch me complaining about having them both.......

I've seen some terrible posts on Bluemoon but a few in this thread take the biscuit.

Navas puts a shift in yes but he also contributes to our all round gameplay, his pace instantly makes defenders take a couple of steps back, his ball retention is as good as any of our midfielders, as is his ability to get the ball under control instantly and i've also seen him fill in for Zaba when he's bombed on in the past.

Heck Spain won the World Cup due to a great piece of play from Jesus Navas bringing the ball forward:

Alright there was a bit of luck but his pace, dribbling and ability on the ball helped.

The only thing he lacks is a decision with his final ball but he's more than good enough to be in a squad competing for titles and playing regular Champions League football.

There will also be games where i'd start him over the bigger names due to the protection he offers, Barcelona when he came on last year stands out in my mind.

He's very underrated on here. I think people were expecting something different to what he offers.

Because when you're aspiring to be the best club in Europe, You can't have some charity case in the most integral position on the pitch. Would he get anywhere near the Barca, Mardrid starting 11? Imagine him coming on for Bale or Ronaldo.

Yes he works hard but we need more than just that and for a right winger his final ball, shooting and decision making are poor. Therefore, he needs to be shipped out next summer

Then why is he being linked to Barca mate?

Ethan 23 your absolutely right, Navas is shit. A charity case doesn't have:

2 x UEFA Cups
1 x UEFA Super Cup
2 x Copa Del Rey
Champs League winner
World Cup winner

Do me a favour!

If you are putting O'shea and Navas in the same bracket you are deluded. Navas has been instrumental to City's recent and current successes, why cannot you see that

he had a good game today apart from that miss ......how to miss from there ffs :)) i don't know if to cry or laugh
