he had a good game today apart from that miss ......how to miss from there ffs :)) i don't know if to cry or laugh

Good game? He surrendered possession more than any other City player. 16 times, next was Bony with 4.

Also look at the build up play when Joe made a great save to keep it at 0-0. Navas gave the ball away needlessly to start the Palace counter.

Had a great debut season but has been poor since.

Put it this way, I don't think any other player on the field for us would have been able to get in that position, he took it absolutely brilliantly to stay ahead of the defenders charging back and took it round the keeper incredibly well given the speed he had to be running at. Unfortunately, he is also probably the only player on the field for us who would have missed the shot.

We need more quick players in those wide areas, as today showed how much we lose by not having quick players on both wings. For all his dissapointing final product, he stretches teams and when Sterling is doing the same on the other side it causes havoc. The fact that we have no direct alternatives is a real problem, we probably need 3 of these sort of players, preferably able to play on either flank so we don't have to change gameplan just because one is missing.

Aside from Aguero's injury, he was the worst thing about today. I really hope we don't see him starting again for a good while, as after his first couple of good performances he has declined massively since then.

Is his finishing really just that bad.... he gets into position, has pace, causes match up problems.... is it just a confidence problem?

After today he's dropped behind de bruyne and nasri.
Shocking miss when through on goal and as always little end product to his crosses.
He would be far more efffective coming on for tha last quarter when defences are tired but he is no more than a squad player

It has been clear for over a year that his main value is as some added pace off the bench. It is mind boggling that MP keeps starting him time and time again.

Or just perhaps he has a better understanding of the game. Navas has more positives then negatives
