Player Topic: Jesus Navas (2015/16)

Navas is a good option at wingback if we ever decide to go 3-5-2/3-4-2-1 against teams who've parked the bus. Nobody else in the squad has the skillset to do it on the right side.

I'm not a big fan of him as a regular player, especially as it was generally at the expense of the more productive Milner, but if we add De Bruyne and Sterling, then we need a hard-working alternative within the squad for balance.

He won't get many outings with Sterling in the team .

Same could of been said about Milner.

He should receive the ball , run 20ft , stop , short pass inside , stand still , it will fool the opposition players.

No one will expect it.

No goals last year was piss poor from someone playing in that position for us.

He was 5/10 for me last year and I am not fussed if he goes.

My biggest issue isn't Navas itself, it's the lack of movement in the box when he gets into an area to play the ball in. Nobody even bothers moving into space for him to pick out.

Agree.

But I'm not sure where he fits in if we get DeBruyne & Sterling.

Got to disagree, just because he didn't have any goals didn't mean he was piss poor, was very good at tracking back when the likes of Silva, yaya and nasri wouldn't, people will notice the difference if sterling comes, navas' work rate was his main asset aside from his pace.
