Pellegrini would rather bring on Richard Wright than giving a young lad a chance.

3-0 up with 15 to go and Nasri and Demichelis get on ahead of Iheanacho and Denayer.

Great win, but can't help the feeling that the substitutions have dissapointed me...again!
i have to agree with you it would have been nice to see denayer and nacho

In fairness I'd rather we were giving league winners a bit of game time before a game with our title rivals than an 18 year old who perhaps won't make the bench.

Perfect start to the season yet all some want to do is find a negative. Fuck off. It's far more important to get our main players fit than give young players a go at this point in the season, especially with so many of our big players missing preseason. He'll get his chance

It's not about what players have done for us but about what players can do for us.

There's no reason Samir Nasri needs game time and Kelechi Iheanacho doesn't. They both played pre season. The difference is we know entirely what Nasri offers. Losing, drawing or seeing a game out. We know what he does.

It'd have been nice to see what Iheanacho can do, that's all.

Give over, it was important to give the senior lads a run out before Chelsea. Could cause an argument in a empty room you.

I really hope the kids get a chance this year and have been critical in the past of Pellers not giving the kids 15/20 mins when we are winning to expose them too competitive Premiership football.

However with Chelsea on the horizon and the season having just started he made the right call and gave the likes of Nasri, Aguero game time. Hopefully the kids will play their part this season but it will, more than likely, not be on Sunday

I'll judge Pellers youth choices after a few games, not the very first. Can't wait to see Nacho though

Pellegrini won't take chances when he doesn't have to. This kid is our number 3 striker in a team where we will only play one up front most of the time. Someone was predicting 10 goals for him this season which is way too optimistic. My guess is he will start the Carling Cup games and maybe play 1/2 league matches and come on as a sub in 8/9 others. That would be a good season for him development wise.
