The Villa match sums up why I can't get excited by him. He has all the technical ability and potential to be a big player but no faith from the manager. He's a better football player than Bony but Pellegrini won't ever give him a chance and he'll most likely follow the long list of youngsters such as Lopes, Suarez and soon-to-be Denayer out of the door.

What's the point of having a world-class youth system if it just leads to their inevitable departure?
