Lol, you just copy the Belgian media in everything you say. Benteke is a fantastic striker and certainly top 3 in EPL. Aguero and Martial are better, but other than that...

Benteke is the most all round striker world wide and he is the best player in air duels world wide, ask anybody in Aston Villa how insanely good he is. In Liverpool he has played well this far, and when he will be settled, everybody will fear him again.

Batshuayi is also a phenomenal striker. Lukaku is overrated as hell, still can't control a normal pass, still can't give a standard short pass to a teammate and still can't head the ball, despite the fact he is 2 metres big. So I get the Lukaku panic, but other than that we are very safe in strikers.

Rooney isn't a real striker, and I take Benteke above Rooney and Origi above Ings any day. Kane instead of Lukaku would be a win :P.

Mirallas is an excellent striker, but he was forced to play at the wing throughout his whole career.
 
He's already a world top 20.

The fact he plays for City just means people will refuse to recognise or acknowledge it.

Same goes for Silva.

De Bruyne will have to get even better through sheer force of will to take his rightful place.

Of which, only City can reap the benefits.

To be fair the only reason people, press, officials etc don't recognise some of our stars to be as good as they are is partly down to our failure in the CL. Once we start reaching semi finals on a regular basis our players will start receiving the accolades, certainly abroad. Unfortunately European football is really what it all comes down to.
 
KDB very direct, creating and scoring goals and he seems always to think a step ahead. But still we missed Silva in the 2nd half vs Spurs as he can hold on to the ball dictating the tempo. That is not in KDB his potential and why we need both to play. I seem to see even Yaya trying to play more direct yesterday.

That does not explain why Silva fails to get the accolades he deserves in England for being on a different planet to everyone else in this country for five years, despite winning every domestic trophy going.

I do accept your Champions League premise, however.

If you can't see that Benteke is a top 10 striker world wide, than you should watch him more. Phenomenal striker, only Aguero and Martial are better in the EPL. He can play counterattack and he can play the possession game as the very best.

I do not agree although i'm Belgian. None of our Belgian strikers gives me a "warm" and "confident" feeling. If we only had Kun in our team :-).

Ofcourse you don't agree, you copy the media imo. At the moment, Benteke is very underrated, so few people will agree with this indeed.

Martial?????? You're basing that on two games? Costa is far better than Big Ben as well.

I'm aware that this is the City forum, but Martial will be a giant striker. I can say this here, because Aguero is still the best striker in the EPL ;). Completely disagree with Costa and Benteke, but you knew that already :P

'Will be'(potentially) and IS are two different things, he has to earn accolades like that and he simply hasn't as it stands(he barely played in France at professional level, let alone the BPL).
