Re: Sergio Aguero

Kun tweeted it was only precautionary and he only felt a pain and then went off because of it, that means that he hasn't done anything to his hamstring but rather he's felt a twinge and they are no doubt assessing him and getting him into some light training so that it isn't risked further. If you watch the press conference and see how Pellegrini reacts around this, he says he doesn't know, maybe a month... Trust me, Sergio will play against Barcelona.

Apart from Chelsea, we should manage completely fine without him for 2 weeks and then I think he'll be back.

Exactly what it sounds like to me too.

Re: Sergio Aguero

We'd be wise to not keep on rushing him back. Liverpool kept doing that with Torres and it ruined him.

He came back from a calf injury. This is a hamstring. Just a bit unfortunate but none of us really know. If the scan suggests 4 weeks, then that's very likely what it will be. They'll have seen the damage, and they'll know how long it takes for the body to heal

We'll be OK for most of the games, but it's the big games like Chelsea and Barcelona where we will really miss him. He was on fire at Spurs. Really breathtaking

Re: Sergio Aguero

It's a real shame. He could have put up some unbelievable numbers, but it looks like at least 1/4 of the season will be robbed by injury.

These muscular injuries have been a plague on our team this season.

Re: Sergio Aguero

2 reports in the fail.

One sating 4 weeks, the other says he is facing a race against time to be fit for the 18th against Barca.

Got a funny feeling, and watching MP'S presser that he will all of a sudden be back in training within 10-14 days....
Was Nasri not supposed to be out for a long time yet he could be due back against Barca??

Re: Sergio Aguero

I get the feeling old Manuel is a big wind up merchant.

2 months for Sergio (calf) and he's back within 4 weeks
Yes, he pulled up on Wednesday, but walked off (in a bit of discomfort, but not grimacing). I think MP and his staff a working a policy of 'if you feel a twinge, come off NOW, to avoid making it worse. We'll get by'.

I wouldn't put it past him playing against Barca, let alone walking out at Wembley (which will be a month)

Oh yes

Re: Sergio Aguero

Not actually too worried about this. We survived a month during a very packed period with no Aguero and no Jovetic, now we have Jovetic back. We should still be able to beat Chelsea, not so sure about Barca though (always possibility he may be back). Glass half full kinda guy :)
