Does not deserve to be in the six.
I agree to a degree. Before his injury he was firing though and the days after his Bayern hat trick the press were busy hailing him as the third best player in the world. He's never recovered his form since coming back and has looked a shadow of the pkayer we know he is.Damocles said:Am I the only one who doesn't think that Sergio has played to his best this year?
So what's the argument for Costa, Coutinho and Kane?cityisOURS said:Does not deserve to be in the six.
With you on this one, hit & miss.Damocles said:Am I the only one who doesn't think that Sergio has played to his best this year?
Harry Kane has been brilliant this year and I find it strange that people think he does not deserve to be there. He has helped propel spurs to the position they are in Where would they be without him? As for the other two you may have a point. In my opinion however, he has been very average since his injury and for as good as everyone makes out he is why does he find it so hard to capture his form after a setback? If he is genuinely a world class player why does he rarely come up with winning goals in bad performances. Aguero is an excellent player who plays off other good players. While he is a brilliant player he is not as much of a talisman as say tevez. In my opinion that's what may be the reason Coutinho and Costa are in and he isntPablo1 said:So what's the argument for Costa, Coutinho and Kane?cityisOURS said:Does not deserve to be in the six.
It's a valid argument regarding why he's not nominated, I suppose I'm looking at it as a city fan and a bit of bias plays a part when I think he deserves a nomination as much as Coutinho and Costa. in no way am I thinking he's been good enough to win it, his season has nosedived since his injury unfortunately for us.cityisOURS said:Harry Kane has been brilliant this year and I find it strange that people think he does not deserve to be there. I'm in absolute agreement with that.gordondaviesmoustache said:Whilst there is an argument for his exclusion, the number of City players being nominated within this award since 2011, during which time we have been discernibly the most successful club in England, is a fucking joke; as is Mancini and Pellegrini's failure to land the manager of the year award in our last two title wins.
It is all too symptomatic of the way we are regarded as a club by the established order within football; be that media or the game itself. It is, in fact, clear evidence of this phenomenon.
We never seem to get the benefit of any doubt.
In broad terms 'they' neither like nor respect our club. It's as simple as that. It feeds their subconscious decision making. The evidence is there for all to see.Pablo1 said:I'm in absolute agreement with that.gordondaviesmoustache said:Whilst there is an argument for his exclusion, the number of City players being nominated within this award since 2011, during which time we have been discernibly the most successful club in England, is a fucking joke; as is Mancini and Pellegrini's failure to land the manager of the year award in our last two title wins.

The fact Kyle walker won the young player award ahead of Aguero still fucking irks me now.
