Because midfielders need to graft - he doesn't come across as a grafter

Hmmm....

Navas anyone...?

Nasri anyone...?

Toure anyone...?

Navas works his fucking arse off, he's right up there with Milner and Zaba.

I think we'll definitely have to disagree on that one, but what about the other two...?

When they're on form they're usually working hard, unfortunately they don't seem to see the correlation.

Grafters they're not. They have natural talent; not least the ability to keep the ball.

Which brings me back to the original point... As I see it, Jovetic works harder than both Toure and Nasri, and has more idea what do do with a football than Navas - A decent run in the team is what's needed. Starting Saturday preferably.

I am confident that distance covered stats would show that Navas, Nasri and Yaya are all grafters. In terms of distance covered per minute played, they are all in the top 5 City players in this season's UCL but the top 2 are Jovetic and Milner. Jovetic has only played 55 minutes so whether he comes out top when playing full games, I don't know but I would not fault his effort.

He does try hard, but it's a little too headless chicken rather than getting stuck in.

Not the best translation..TMW

Bayern Monaco has set the price for Xherdan Shaqiri. € 23 million, a figure told today by Tuttosport. Contract expiring in June 2016, looking for a new club to play and where to play a leading role. Two goals with the national team, the following Juventus strongly that, as an alternative, continues to evaluate Stevan Jovetic Manchester City and could leave on loan. Assumptions as possible, the problem is that earns 5 million Euros per year. Then Lukas Podolski 3 million a year in salary, he wants to leave Arsenal, where he never plays.

loan, loan, loan and fucking loan. Are Italian clubs taking the piss out of us, whenever possible? Surely Jovetic can be sold, if City want to get rid.

Re: Jovetic

Biggest problem for me is he has the work ethic, footwork, and creativity but is footballing sense is weak. He runs around non-stop but he has barely any interceptions and he loses the ball far too often, I think thats the biggest different between him and the other three (Navas, Toure and Nasri). His touch is often terrible and he panics, either passing to nowhere or shooting from 20 yards out.

Strikers need confidence, was clear with Dzeko under Mancini. Maybe a good run, couple of goals will turn him round.

Can't argue with that. If he was a Chelsea player then he would be sold for a profit. This resale policy they have with their surplus to requirement players is the main reason they can escape FFPR, unlike our senior executives who seem stumped when faced with the prospect of moving players out.
