Promise and reality.

If i had a drink i would have spat it out, classic gif mate, classic hehe.

I like him but feel he is slightly stiffled by us.
He is best when given free reign across the front, asking him to work a zone is useless imo.

Absolutely think this guy is one of the most creative, skillful players in the game. Unfortunately, his specific style doesn't translate well to the English/MC style of game. For him to be his best, the play needs to funnel through him. At fiorentina, the play bottle-necked through him and allow him to sit a little deeper and be the "creative initiator". With MC you already have 3 or 4 people on the team that can play that role with Merlin, Nasri etc. So he kind of would look lost a lot of times. It hurts when a player you like so much just doesn't fit your team. I think this is the case with Jovetic. I will follow him and root for him until he retires. Sad to see him go, but I think it would be best.

This - but as we have the likes of Silva / Nasri he needs to make himself as influential and consistant as those two in games to justify a start. That is the reality of our squad. We are not going to change for him, he needs to find his way in to our team. At a smaller club it would be easier for him as they would be reliant on him as there best creative player, you would need to be one heck of a player to stand out in our midfield. If you are not the main man you have to make yourself a vital cog in the machine. I like him but the harsh truth is he does not currently make our best 11.

Yes we have Samir and David as our creative motive force but what Jojo offers over and above them is his willingness to shoot. Just wish our principal creative players would take note.

I personally hope he stays as he has an awful lot to bring to the table

City plays anti Jo Jo tactics and seams to not understand what is his best role, neither they have willingness to change anything or give him a proper suport, that is allso to say about Nasri who can be much more concrete in his game. And that is a thing that stands a point in opinion that City is a plastic club. The reality of making big money signings that will not make their full potential. City clinched their way to tolerable results mainly duo Aguero Silva Yaya world class acts. The problem in last game against Arsenal was the lack of abillities in both Milner and Navas, as much as in Fernando and Fernandinho, even Zabaleta and Clichy. If City is to evelate to europes finest they need to have some creativity in mid, I would like to see one more central midfielder of Pjanic or Toni Kros or ect. ect. pedigre to support Yaya and make better defence spliting passes that Yaya can. Some full backs that can actually play good bulid up and support attack in ways it makes an inpact, and most important some modern football wingers with attacking midfilders game in tearms of that they can move with the ball, make a good build up play and have the abillyty to score. That make a team use theirs abillity to keep the ball and have greater possesion that oposition. City seems to play defencive possesion keaping kind of game in advanced possitions. It is a paradox. Nasri, Jovetic and Silva behind Aguero are the best option, for me, out of current squad and yet they played so little time together duo diferend Pelegrinis preferations and many injuries.

Where does he play for us?

When he's on the pitch, he's not a Striker nor a Winger. He doesn't play in the CAM role like Silva. Doesn't really stick to a LF/LWF or a RF/RWF position. Is he a free spirit? Just simply between the lines?

He has talent, but I don't know if he's right for us. His urgency and forward thinking is what we need, but he often looks like a 15 year old kid on the school field who tries to take on his mates at every opportunity and more often than not, fails. That's easier against the bottom sides, but when against quality opposition its dangerous.

You sir don't watch City much if you don't know how good Zabaleta is. I hesitate often to call any City player best at their position. But with Zaba I am most confident than with most If Zab is not the best at his position, who ever is the best isn't better.

Our tempo and urgency increased when he came on

True, but our tempo and urgency increased before he had actually touched the ball. Simply by being on the pitch and taking markers away from Aguero he created space. Which is usually what happens when we switch from one to two strikers against defensive teams at home.
