Re: Yaya?

The guy is a phenomenal talent but so obviously a massive slapped arse, even before this summers events.

Personally would get him out of the team for a while, give him some pampering and a rest and get his hunger and desire to be playing back at a level where it should be. ATM it's been like playing with 10 men when he's on the pitch, he's just not interested.

Yaya is someone who needs to feel loved and constantly told this.

modern day footballers are fucking pathetic but it's what football has created so the clubs have to manage it to get optimum performance from their playing staff.

In my opinion, I can cope with a player being in bad form but still slowing passion for playing for the Shirt, think Joe last season and will stick with them,

What I can't stand is a player strolling around the pitch, not giving a shit and doing everything in his power to destroy his legacy with City fans.

I saw one comment on this thread saying that we just don't know how the death if his brother is affecting him. I would guess like myself most people of this forum have lost a close relation in the past and a couple weeks later have to be back at work to pay the bills. It's like some posters are looking for excuses for his attitude.

Not trying and not playing well, two completely different things.

I have never believed that any player goes out and doesn't try. Whatever he may feel towards the club I hold Yaya in far higher esteem, and I saw nothing to suggest he wasn't trying, he simply he doesn't look in top physical shape.

I'm sure Yaya has far more respect of his team mates than to go out and deliberately not try. You should try showing a bit more loyalty to a player who has brought us so much.

Seriously!?!? He fucking pissed all over the club and the supporters this summer and you want US to show loyalty to HIM. When he shows some loyalty to the club that made him a star then maybe I will think about it.

Some on here have really short memories think back to Palace and Everton away in May when he virtually carried us to victory and the Villa game where we closed it out, without him over the past 4 years I suggest we would have won a lot less than we have, yes he's out of form but he hasn't had many off days in 4 years, let's back him for fucks sake

I think you have the short memory. He decided to quit on City AFTER May. Remember that?

Why does this debate never surface when we're talking about players like Vinny,Zabaleta,Silva,Aguero,Milner,Fernadinho etc?

I've not contributed to this thread yet and am not sure what my opinion is on Yaya but is this the most stupid question Bluemoon tonight?

No I think that goes to you. FantasyIreland is clearly asking a rhetorical question that went right over your head. I will spell it out for you. The players he mentioned are pros and wear the shirt proudly. Yaya is a petulant **** and a mercenary who only cares about Yaya.

Oh dear, a childish reaction. In case you didn't realise, it was Yaya's agent that created the storm in a teacup, and 'cake gate'. The situation has been handled by the club and it doesn't appear to be a problem now.

In case you hadn't forgotten Rooney wanted to leave the rags not so long ago and now he's club captain. That's a grown up approach, you have a disagreement and you sort it out for the benefit of the club.

Not all players will be fans of the club, they are professionals, playing for professional pride, ambition and yes money. Why do you think Falcao joined the rags when not in the champions league.

You need to stop being so precious, and calling your own players c*nts is outrageous. If you want to see the best from the players (which you presumably do) then we need to support all the players and not throw toys out of the pram over one bad performance, that's how a spoilt child reacts.

Re: Yaya?

My thoughts are yaya was a disgrace trottin around all game givin a shit performance. we get a bad result and low n behold straight after the final whistle he goes for a laugh n cuddle with pep . Not bothers one bit about our result or his own shit performance

Toure isn't there to run around for 90 mins like Gelson Fernandes he's there for his passing ability like Pirlo.
So what if he has had two bad games? Over the full season he will be one of our best players.

Are you suggesting we pay ~£200k/week to be an accurate ball passer?

In my mind, he is one of a team of eleven who should all be busting a gut game in, game out to win. He may well come good but at the mo, we cannot continue playing him whilst his head is elsewhere.

Your "So What" comments are alarming though. Are you purporting we keep playing him on the basis he will come good sooner rather than later, at which point we might have Haemorrhaged too many points.

IMHO he should now be benched whilst he sorts his head out and refinds that hunger.

The season has barely started. Yaya has never put himself about so no need to make an issue of it now. Silva, Aguero, Kompany even Messi go through good form and bad

His agent has nevertheless done incalculable damage to his reputation and I don't think he'll ever get the recognition he deserved

Well caught, Fantasy Ireland.

Good post, too many rags on here trying to destabilise the club. People should be turning the tables on manure. Lets get behind Martins attack on Gaal, like he said "He stinks" !

Re: Yaya?

PLEASE - let's not turn on one of our own players. It will only feed the growing mischief making by all sectors of the press and fans of other clubs who can't defeat us on the pitch and are always looking for any way to criticise, belittle and undermine us.
Yayas been disappointing & badly advised,of that there is no doubt but that does not warrant the level of personal abuse posted by some on this forum. It does not help....it is damaging the reputation of the club....& us as supporters. Ultimately it will be self defeating.
What we all should be aiming for is to get Yaya back to his influential, barnstorming best. The Yaya who scored 24 goals last season....the Yaya of the rag semi, the Yaya of the stoke final, the Yaya of the Mackams final, palace & everton away & villa at home etc etc.
We should trust in the coaches, manager and directors to rehabilitate Yaya in the way they have with other members of the squad. Let the rags turn on and abuse their own players....remember Giggs a few yeas back....we can have our own opinions but our role is to circle the wagons, get right behind the players, team and club and NOT abuse and alienate one of the most remarkable players of our recent history. CTID.

Re: Yaya?

Since he has been a city player this is how he plays, the difference in when we play a team who are quick i and half more possession than us he does look disinterested. He had 1 or 2 moments in the bayern game but that was it.. He'll be back against chelsea and I'll predict he will score
