Re: Yaya?

Seeing him in champions league games reminds me of the scene in King Kong at the end were Kong is trying to swat the planes buzzing around him. He was a luxury who could win a game with one burst or worldly shot now he's just a liability.

I guess I;m not the only one who sees YaYa as fat and lazy. He plays like he is still in a funk about the bloody birthday cake and the perceived "lack of love" from City management. Toure needs to be dropped for the next game and play Lampard instead. At 36 Lampard is earning HIS money. Pelligrini needs to sit Toure on the bench for a couple of games while those who want to play and see City win get on the pitch. City can't keep playing with 10 1/2 men vs. 11 each game. Perhaps Cousin Vinnie needs to take Toure aside and tell him to put up or shut up.

I'm tired of Toure stealing from MCFC. He's taking his pay check every week without doing his job -- that's stealing! I do hope Toure is not expecting to get a new contract any time soon. Sheikh Mansour should sell him to PSG.

This. Frank is here on a short term loan, and really doesn't owe us much beyond trying. However, he is such a professional he plays his heart out.

On the other hand, Yaya, who was "born here" acts like he could not care less about being arsed to try. Hell, he can't even stay in good physical shape. Good riddance to him. Would trade him straight up for a 36 year old Frank Lampard right now no hesitation.

On this moronic comment it's clear it's time for sleep

He tried, and it didn't work out for him

It wont be long till he makes you eat your words

Re: Yaya?

Plays in spurts but tonight he was slow, looked tired and made Fernandinho do all the closing down. Another off night for him. Beginning to think we may never see the Yaya of last season. His hearts not in it anymore.

It's no different to how he's ever been for City in Europe is it? He can't play in a midfield two in Europe.

Re: Yaya?

Think we might be at our Tevez moment with Yaya. Not the sabotage the club walk away for six months moment, but the moment when it was fairly evident (beginning of 11/12) we were a better team without him.

Think we'd have a lot of joy with a three of Fernandinho, Fernando and Milner; Fernando in front of the back four and the other two pressing and closing down like mad. Fernandinho was pressing all over the pitch tonight, and then a pass would go beyond him and Yaya would be nowhere to be seen, not on a man or closing down space. If we want to play with Yaya we absolutely cannot press—not a single player other than the strikers—otherwise it leaves huge gaps. With Yaya we have to play behind the ball.

Re: Yaya?

I will never slag Yaya off after what he has done for us. He has almost singlehandedly won us several titles.

However, last night was a disgrace and I was sad seeing him. He was literarily walking on the pitch on several important occasions. Either he didn't join the defence or the attack, but was just wandering around in no man's land.

A Yaya in this shape is unfortunately like having one player less on the pitch. It looked better after the substitutions and change in tactics, but starting Yaya next to Fernandinho is suicide. Either use Yaya as an offensive midfielder in a 4-2-3-1 or don't use him at all is my suggestion.

Re: Yaya?

Not the first time it's been posted, we should have cashed in on Yaya in the summer.

Big mistake and it'll cost us.
