Yaya very seldom loses possession and his passing is almost
90% and moves the ball from defence tru midfield on to forward players.
He is always up with our attacks moving and plotting the best pass.
He is then often left exposed by the forward then losing ball or bad pass by them and
expected to get back and cover when Silva, KDB or sterling who've lost ball make
little or no effort to chase back themselves.

That's how I see it too.

No it isn't. it's quite clear that pundits like Carragher certainly do have an influence on the thinking of the wider football fans as well as City fans on here. Certainly when I hear City "fans" calling him a lazy **** etc etc.

We're talking about a guy who was born in the Ivory Coast in poverty and rose to be one of the best footballers in the world, winning every club honour on earth for Barcelona and the premier league twice, FA cup and league cup for City scoring some of the most important goals in our history. Do you really think it's possible for someone who is lazy to achieve all that? When you stop and think it's absolutely ludicrous.

If you want to call me condescending for calling people out on branding him a "lazy ****" etc then so be it, I can live with it.

Again you attempt to shift onto the ground of your choosing. FWIW I think people who brand any City player a cnut deserve calling out.

But where I'm calling YOU out is your assertion that people who criticise Yaya's recent work rate or attitude aren't thinking for themselves. Where's your correlation between what Carragher says and what Blues think? Absolutely zero so far.

I would say that is Joe Hart.

Joe is great. It's just that Yaya has delivered the goals and performances at the business end of all of our trophy wins. Many fans of rival clubs view Yaya as Word Class whilst Joe doesn't quite get the same race reviews!

Yaya's goal against the rags in the semi final ranks up their with Sergio's against QPR as the most important in modern history. Dickov's against Gillingham would be on my list too although we are going back a generation!

He's a pundit on sky and has the platform to influence the thinking of football fans - that's his job. The fact I read city fans repeating his nonsense on here is testament to it. I'm sure there are some City fans who aren't influenced by Carragher - fair enough - but they're still talking nonsense if they call Yaya lazy.

But if we're honest it's plain to see that the narrative of "Yaya is lazy" set by pundits like Carragher has had an effect on the views of some fans on here and you see it on and almost daily basis. And judging by the direction this thread is taking I don't think I'm alone in starting to get a bit pissed off with this myth.

I would say our best player is silva
I would say our most important player is yaya
And I would say our most irreplaceable player is aguero

Hart and kompany and anyone else doesn't quite make my little shortlist, sorry

Very good points!
