Players who might improve us

yeah not a fan either but starting with his end product isnt where i'd start either.

the trend seems to be that fullbacks need to offer either elite defensive ability (ie. a centerback) or good buildup ability (almost like a midfield). gvardiol offers both. theo would offer that as well tbf, i think pep would use him like walker/more a centerback if he got him. good thing about gvardiol is that he could probably play across the back 3, the stones role or even dm, good versatility
 
Not sure that Robinson adds a lot. He moves down the left wing pretty well, and is fast, but we have Jack to do that now, and he does it well. He's not a lockdown defender, but is proficient. It would be nice to have a defender than can nail someone's feet to the pitch, but that isn't our thing.

I guess he's the kind of player that if we signed, I would say, "cool, let's get him on the field", and if we didn't then I just don't care.

Seen some Fati talk for the winger spot, is Dembele over his fitness issues? He's got a release clause of €50m this summer

Add those and you lose Grealish and Mahrez or Bernardo or whoever else, and the whole possession at a premium game that we play, changes… we don’t lack rapid wingers by accident and this isn’t football manager.

He has talent but is a long way off being at the level we would be willing to spend probably near £50m on. He is nearly 23 so next couple of years needs to seriously push on (but not with us). We have our own youth players I would want to see get more game time and fitting Smith Rowe in for 15/20 minutes here and there at his age won’t do him any favours.
 
SMS from Lazio would be a great Gundogan replacement if he does leave. Try and keep Bernardo but Maddison or Barella if he leaves. Bastoni, N’Dicka or Gvardiol for Laporte.
