How high are u in the Manchester city structure that you know that? If the 2nd and 2rd options behind wirtz are dickheads apparently and due to that fact no options then we can gladly repeat this season next season again without playmaker

Genuinely can somebody enlighten me why so many people seem to be so all in on Baena? He's registered 2 assists in his last 20 league games and only has one more La Liga assist this season than Olli Mcburnie. I know stats aren't the full picture and his highlights show he has an eye for a pass but he just doesn't seem the level we should be looking at. That's with out the reported character floors which seem to go well beyond just a bit of laziness or arrogance like a Cherki say.

He a creator. In a better team he will have more assists. It’s not that he isn’t providing potential assists it’s just that Villarreal as weird as it sounds now is a REAL TEAM. They don’t have the absolute go to player so the players will pass the ball one more time if someone else is in a better position. Cherki has much better stats than everyone else and is still getting criticized so I’m wondering who else some people here have in mind.
Baéna is most likely atletico bound when I think about it anyways

Tbh I think there's just a real lack of quality 10's on the market. Not that long ago we had the likes of Silva, Mata, Carzola and Ozil in the prem alone. It feels like the 10 role is becoming more like the Bellingham's of the world and the real creators are the wingers now.

Most chances created in top 5 leagues and that's in less minutes than those behind him.
 
A lot on here don’t like him but really think Porro would be brilliant here. RB has been a real weak spot and he’s one of the best creators there is whilst being relatively solid defensively. Would be great to see him getting some crosses into Haaland.

Spurs have been woeful but I think he’d be mint here.
 
Dean Huijsen at Bournemouth. If Liverpool, Chelsea and Arsenal are interested surely that suggests he’d be worth going for? Especially if the £50m release clause is true. Why not put in an offer?

Surprised we've never been linked, but do have links to some CBs (not decent ones mind you).

Think somone probably already has a Yes on him
 
The player that I think could be the ideal replacement for de Bruyne would be Nico Paz at Como. Only 20 but already looks to have the physique and combativeness needed to play in the midfield in England, and he's the sort of attacking midfielder that would both create and score. Whether we could prise him out of Real Madrid's talons is my only concern.
 
We are so stacked at CB, highly doubt we go for any. Id go for 4 outfield players.

The Cambiaso links seem too strong so that seems likely, O Reilly can play in many spots like as an 8 (Gundogan role) or deeper as a 6 (Bernie role) if need be, so he still gets alot of game time.

Vanderson at RB to challenge with Nunes, pushing Lewis to likely be more of a midfielder (Bernie role). I suspect if homegrown quota is a problem, then maybe someone like Ola Aina would be a good alternative.

Id go for Adam Wharton as a 6/8 hybrid to replace Bernie/Kova as a starter. His progressive passing and defensive work ranks very high. Is also homegrown.

And lastly Reijnders as the 8/10 hybrid to replace Gundogan/KdB as a starter. He has work rate, technical ability, creative, and goals.

Im gonna take a punt on we get MGW and Wirtz this summer, and have a word in Whartons ear to do another year at Palace and go back in 2026 summer in phase 2.

Costa, Cambiaso, MGW, Writz and a wildcard for RB. Rațiu or El Hilali

I only really have a major question mark over Stones at CB, the rest have proven they can be available for more when not overused etc. I leave that as the AN.OTHER player in but unlikely i expect. Inacio at Sporting maybe if they need another quick Left footer

Yeah Wharton, MGW, Reijnders and Wirtz for me kind of depend on the outgoings.

If Bernie stays, then with Kova, Rodri and Nico, he becomes unecessary as he is a deeper midfielder and cant play between the lines. So like you said, maybe in a year when others leave he makes more sense.

We know Kev is gone, so definitely one of MGW, Reijnders or Wirtz. Maybe 2 as you said if Gundogan has a furthet reduced role.

I really like Reijnders, the fee looks doable, and Wirtz feels unattainable, I could be wrong and maybe behind the scenes City are doing something special.
 
Reijnders would be immense. I rate him very highly. He wouldn't command a kings ransom either.

Cambiaso would also be a top addition.

If we need to boost the English contingent with Jack possibly leaving them I'd rather go for Wharton rather than MGW. He's a very tidy player, where's Gibbs White is very "loose".

No way we are getting Wirtz. We will spend and age trying to get him over the line only for him to go to Real or Bayern.

Then we need another top keeper and another proper full back.
