Points for the final

cup scheme's a good idea, to be honest i couldnt really be bothered with the watford, leeds or barnsley games but i'm bloody glad i did now!

wembley here i come!

I agree with loyalty points in principle, but I think loyalty should be awarded for attendance rather than purchasing. Hence, points only get added once the card activates at the ground or maybe 50% points on purchase and the other on attendance.

When cup games are £20 and £1 for kids it is relatively cheap to pay and not attend just to claim the loyalty points. i am sick of seeing big rows of blanks in family stand in particular when we are advised that the game is a sell out.

But you could still buy it and give your card to someone else for the game and still get the points, no check that it was actually you using the card

None at all. Which part of debating the merits of a ticketing system are you struggling to understand?

The bit that failed to take a DNA sample when you went in the ground to prove you attended in person

PAYING for the Cup Scheme is not enough, you have to ATTEND? Where did it say that in the CUP SCHEME DETAILS?

None whatsoever. However, when I have a problem with a policy, I usually air my views when the policy is presented....not a year later AFTER I have decided NOT to participate and it becomes inconvenient to me personally.

Did we all just find out there was a CUP SCHEME and that it was decided LONG AGO that this was the way it was going to work?

It was YOUR CHOICE whether to join or not, unlike some other clubs that force it on you, and people made their choice. In fact, there would have been bloody murder on here if City HAD FORCED IT ON US!

BTW, if this was a REAL "debate" of ticketing schemes, I would have left alone, but as usual, it has turned into a "woe is me" parade of malcontents.

FWIW, I'm in the Cup Scheme and let my sister-in-law go to the early round FA Cup and Capital One Cup games AND she went to the semi-final in my place, because she is getting more interested and I sit next to her hubby, my brother, and she had never been to Wembley before. I have already told her that if she wants to go to the Final, that is HER privilege, because I'm not going to suddenly decide she is done now we are in the Final.

-- Wed Apr 17, 2013 12:59 am --

THAT would be like not being in the Cup Scheme and suddenly deciding it wasn't fair on me!
