The EU is not a country, therefore their ambassador should have no diplomatic status.

Unless a group of countries in a union get together and write rules stating eu diplomats get same status as international ones..

The way things are going I'll give it 6 months until we're effectively back in the SM and CU. However the government will be quite creative in what they call it.

May I suggest the Joint Market and the Customs Partnership. I’d like to think you were right, but honestly can’t see this government backing down, nor see how they could do it and disguise it.
