Bernard Jenkin - hugely disingenuous or epically stupid take your choice. The point of principle it is that it IS a threat to the single market. Alternatively a boat full of refugee's turn up at Harwich harbour and Bernard says "let them in - its only one boat full its hardly a threat to the UK population" - yeah course he would.

Whats the over and under on Johnson capitulating? I’ll go for under two months.

Mind you, with all this capitulating the EU might start thinking we’re Italian.
 
The way things are going I'll give it 6 months until we're effectively back in the SM and CU. However the government will be quite creative in what they call it.
