Serious question for you. I know you're profoundly anti-EU and were against our membership. Did that always apply? Were you ok with it being just a trading bloc prior to the various treaties that furthered political integration or was it always something you were opposed to?

It’s entirely possible to be in that 56% and still feel ending FoM was the right thing to do.

Well - I was just trying to help get/keep people on-topic

When you started the thread and gave it its title - I assumed that it was intended by you to be about:

Political relations between UK-EU

Which suggests that now that the UK has left the EU - how should the relationships between the 2 parties develop - is that not what you intended?

If I had it right - then posters bringing the discussion back to, as examples:

• Past immigration controls
• Stabilisation of Iraq
• 1905 Aliens act
• Development of brownfield land
• Outside interference in Libya

Might be off-topic - no?

I was assuming that you wanted a thread about the future - rather than the past - afterall we have now definitely left the EU and, whilst the past is of interest - surely the key focus should be the future?
