Political relations between UK-EU

Gave it up when it was a lost cause.... Yet banging on about it now!

I can't recall why EFTA/EEA didn't fly in Parliament, but we were three votes from a majority for staying in a customs union - blame Labour rebels and the LibDems.
We have been blaming - well at least pointing out - that 'due credit' for the real Brexit outcome has to be given to the Labour Party in particular

The LibDems voting can be understood - they were and clear and consistent about what they wanted - actually same with the ERG

But Labour had the opportunity to secure a BRINO which saw the UK even more tied to the EU than Remaining

It is one of your Remainer colleagues that is struggling with reality

Unbelievable low punch from the french health minister saying the uk is talking risks with our vaccination programme, presumably only to detract from their really poor attempt at their own vaccination programe. Different flag same politcian stance always first to the lifeboats while blaming others.
They have an election coming up and Macron was desperately keen for the French to bring forward the vaccine - they are being politically and naturally churlish

Literally the first paragraph of the Treaty of Rome of 1958

Once again the UK Tories renege on an agreement that they were signed up to and fully aware of.
Actually, for all the guff about Cameron failing to get any concessions from the EU, exemption from "ever-closer union" was one of the concessions he got. Not that the Brexity press rejoiced...

Referendum was not counted on constituency lines (see what the Tories did there) so contacting your MP was a pointless exercise (mines Jo Churchill so its a pointless exercise anyway )..... in any event 486 MPs stated that they would vote Remain themselves.
I can see what you are getting at.........

Good job that it was a referendum then and not a HoC vote

Or losing a dreadful burden and........

Depends on if you voted with the majority or not I guess
Purely on trade benefits, you don't really think joining CPTPP will compensate for the damage of Brexit.

I've asked you before. When was a BRINO deal ever remotely on offer? I'm struggling with your unreality.

Just a nonsense question - as is all the distraction that you guys have been bringing forward

It is not a question of comparing 2 blocs and deciding between them - that is just the narrative/discussion that you want to make it

Thankfully, the UK is out of the EU and away from the risk of future integration that Remaining would have inevitably led to

Now we are we are able to consider which trading relationships we wish to enter into

Simples really

Never. May ruled it out in her Lancaster House speech in January 2017, much to the annoyance of Hammond the Chancellor at the time.
