The common market was the ideal thing for Europe alas when it transformed itself into a political entity dominated from Brussels it strayed away from where the majority of Britons wanted to be.The conservatives took us in France and Germany didn’t want us. It was only a common market to begin with but it’s grown into a political giant now.
Well common market at the time of entry and time of conformation vote,as a nation we were never convinced or entirely committed and now for better or worse we're no longer members it's time to move on because I doubt very much we're going back.loaded question - EU ? Common Market? EEC? Do any of the distinctions matter?
For me no I don't care how we got there I only know the UK was better remaining there
It was we Brits in Brussels doing most of the dominating. Writing the laws, negotiating the deals. The common market was the ideal thing for Europe alas when it transformed itself into a political entity dominated from Brussels it strayed away from where the majority of Britons wanted to be.
In what way's it gone to crap, I still think this a better place to live than most .Germany's inflation rate is identical to ours pressures beyond any nations control at the moment. It was we Brits in Brussels doing most of the dominating. Writing the laws, negotiating the deals.
Look what we do when we're on our own. It's all gone to crap.
