Political relations between UK-EU

It’s called an Enhanced Trade Partnership that could lead to a trade deal one day, and not even the Express mentions £100 billion. It’s the announcement of some investment by Tata industries. It’s not a FTA. Nothing to suggest it couldn’t or wouldn’t have happened without Brexit.
Gotta admire your tenacity, and I chuckled at the last sentence.
So, one of us, pretty shortly, will be hailing yet another boost to trade with
a major world economy.
One of us says that won't happen.
A parameter needs to be set though, I say the UK will do it within the next 6 months.
Fair enough?

FT with the bombshell news...

Brussels shoots down any hope of new shellfish rules to allow U.K. oyster/clams/mussels etc to be exported to EU - but Govt still thinks it’s reading of law is right.’

If we get a real FTA with India in the next 6 months I will happily come on here and admit you were right, and I'm sure you'll remind me.

It would be a welcome boost to our economy especially in sectors where we have lost a lot of EU workers because I'm sure any trade deal would include provisions for significant numbers of Indians to come and work here.

So, they're still playing silly buggers are they?
Gonna get tasty now.

Obviously will be good news, but will almost certainly involve a concession on freedom of movement, so will be interesting to see how that goes down.

Look forward to the impact assessment of any Indian deal. They're not publishing the EU one for some reason. Can't think why...

Looks like my UK citizen kids won’t be able to study at a UK university since the eldest will only be 14 in 2028.

Cheers, Brexit.

Well it certainly seems like the good news hungry press are ejaculating all over this and we know from their coverage of certain football clubs how objective they can be. But wait, look at this party pooper trying to wipe some of the gloss off it;

What’s the truth about the UK’s new trade ‘deal’ with India? | The Independent

We don’t want truth, we want to cheer and feel good and righteous about ourselves.

Last time I looked, India did more trade with fucking Belgium than the UK.
