Political relations between UK-EU

Just a reminder that Brexit isn’t going well for all the sectors of the economy that trade with Europe, and the government are in denial.

Has anyone genuinely experienced this, as the article suggests?

I am not saying this isn’t happening but I’ve been in Aldi, Sainsbury’s, Morrison’s, Tesco etc. all since January 1st and not a single time have I witnessed empty shelves or fruit/veg baskets.

So what?
All that shows is that the large companies have invoked contingency plans that have worked. It doesn’t help the thousands of companies that are struggling with imports and exports to/from Europe which was the point of the article.

Just because it hasn’t noticeably impacted each person in the country yet doesn’t mean it isn’t having a huge impact on a significant minority.

The fact we’ve got a FTA means that the general effect of introducing barriers to our main trading partner will be somewhat mitigated but it doesn’t mean it’s not happening.

My local Tesco has stopped selling belgian buns. That's about all i've seen. (You can still get belgian eclairs though)

I was asking a simple question.

The article you posted was being disingenuous, wasn’t it?

The American audience will see that and think we’re turning into Venezuela.

An irrelevant one and no it wasn’t being disingenuous.

And why would the Americans getting their news from a centre left website think that? The nutters who are most likely to think that get their news from Fox and other right wing outlets and are beyond sensible discussion.

Well showing empty supermarket baskets/shelves suggests a food crisis.

The empty shelves pic was related to the caption below it which was a link to another related article. All news sites do this, even the Mail.
And now you're copying their tactics to suggest a narrative that isn't accurate! Bravo!
