Porto memories

Think what this thread shows as others have said, is what a fantastic trip it was, bar the football. Been going since 1978, and it certainty ain't for the glory. The win would have made it all the better, but defeat didn't spoil it. Bloody pain going there instead of Wembley, but reckon if it had been in London, there would have been more trouble from other clubs' firms looking for some easy pickings.
 
Finding out that my son, having spent all day trying and failing to get a ticket, managed to do the impossible jib.
Wow ! Top effort - how the hell did he manage that with two sets of gates to get through. Bet he thought he was in after first set only to find another lot to get through.
 
Did anybody try one of the local Porto specialities.. the toastie with steak, bacon, egg, cheese and the spicy sauce? Can't recall the name of it but it began with an F

Had one in the square by the town hall and boy was it good...

Sandwich, big platter of chips, free small beer and a free espresso... 10.50 Euro

I'm going back there for another one day.....
