Post Crystal Palace match thread

Very professional today. The balance of the side looks a lot better with a genuine defensive midfielder. Garcia hardly ever goes over the half way line and offers a lot more protection to the defence. Yaya and Fernandinho are much too ambitious for the role. It now looks a toss of a coin between City and Liverpool but it is in our hands which is all we can ask.

It's far from over. 3 very tough games left.

I struggle to see us beating Everton at Goodson with our record there in recent years gone by.

Palace did not really show up till the second half today, possibly cos our boys put a real shift in.
Hopefully Pulis will make sure they are more up for it against the dippers. I reckon their luck may just be running out...
One final push is needed. Today we really looked up for it.

Everton not as defensive under Martinez so will leave gaps for us to exploit. Its about time we won there to bury another hoodoo ground

Good win.

Yaya, Dzeko, Nasri and Demichelis were standouts.
I would add Garcia and Hart to that list, who both had outstanding performances as well.

Agreed. I too thought Javi was outstanding.

In fact I thought it was a masterstroke by Manuel to play YaYa for an hour, then bring Ferna on to replace him.

Likewise, giving Sergio 75 minutes, and so not over stretching him on his way back to full match fitness, then give Stevan the last quarter hour to continue his education.
