Re: things we have learnt from tonight

Great character from us, we truly are a great team.

Re: things we have learnt from tonight

Don't think I've learnt anything from last night but from the past three Champions League games we've learnt Balotelli might not be as shit as his critics make him out to be and might be worth having as an option.

Omg up at 5.30 and the first thing i think of is the celebration at the ground #bliss #lovecity :D

things we have learnt from tonight

Dzeko is not very good.
Nasri is more lightweight than Silva.
Hart needs to improve.
We are better playing 433 than 4231.
And Dzeko is not very good.

Hi ho ho we love aguero, hes full of class, hell kick ur ass hiho hiho hiho hiho :D Song for our lil hero? :D

A few points of note from tonight:

- Nasri and Johnson can never start in the same team again.
- De Jong is still unfit.
- Yaya needs to play in the advanced role against United.
- Barry proved what he actually does on the field.
- Milner is on form which is bound to result in selection problems.
- Dzeko is currently not playing anywhere near Premier League standard.
- Kolarov provides a huge attacking threat!

Having finally watched the television version of the match I noticed what a big difference Yaya being pushed forward made after Johnson was taken off and Barry slotted into Yaya's previous role. He was still frustrating at times with sloppy passes but scared Villarreal to death with his runs and when he ran down the flank made a better winger than Johnson did. I think Yaya does a tidy job in a deeper role but is much better for us further forward.
To be fair to Villareal, they didn't really park the bus. Yes, we had more of the game. But, in the second half especially, they were just as good as us for periods. Couldn't see where the winning goa l was going to come from. Delighted it did though. Going into work this morning will be an enjoyable experience!

He's still the most talented striker in England. He always was. People here (especially those calling Joe HArt 'shit') seem to mistake form for talent and vice versa.
