Post match thread : Borussia Monchengladbach away CL

Phew !!!……nerves…….2-1 for City. First half defence all at sea. Cannot believe the linesman behind the goal –
didn’t see Demi – with his thigh put the ball 4 feet over the line. Aguero looked sharp tonight but he had no luck.
i’ll take the 3 points though.

We need to be more clinical and playing a high line and trying to catch teams offside with Demi & Otamendi isn't working.

Never in doubt, was it? Seriously though; that last 20 or so minutes can't mask a pretty grim first hour. We just don't seem to be learning year on year in Europe. 5 seasons in the premier European competition, and we're precious little further forward now than when we started. It's gone beyond the "we need time" stage now.

Shockingly naive.

I'm sure we have a tactical plan somewhere but it is making seriously top players look like fucking amateurs.

Sort it Manuel, before someone else has to.

he doesnt do tactics our boss

well played navas always adds balance to the team, some just dont see it. toure and sterling need a spell on the bench

Great result. We gave away two penalties. Toure absent in the first half, Fernando on gave us 11 men. Naval still freezes in the penalty area. Aguero still not there, but close. One of Harts best games. Otamendi and DeMichelis a work in progress. But 3 points!!!

The euphoria of a last minute snatch and grab should not mask over the fact that were were pathetic for 70 minutes tonight. There was a few weak personal performances but yet again it's more the style and the system that's to blame than the individuals. It's very clear to me they go on the pitch with no clear instructions. you can call it "creative freedom" if you want going forward but you can't call it anything other than amateurish defensively. For the 4th game from 5 now, serious questions need to be asked of the manager.
Spot on.

Happy to get the win but thank god we weren't playing a decent side or we'd have got hammered.

How come Otamendi's goal is ruled own-goal. I was sure that as long as the ball is originally headed in goal, it should be ruled the kicker's goal.
