Post Match Thread - City vs Palace

You're talking through your arse if you thought we deserved a clear win. We played the first 60-70 minutes like we would have last season. They had a few good chances to score, see gayle and the header hart had to pull a good save off as well as Bolasie's early chance

They should have been down to 10 men, we were denied a clear cut penalty. They were allowed to kick fuck out of us.

I agree with the other poster, you're spouting shit through your muck button.

The one thing I thought of when that goal went in was all those fucking times I was watching the BBC coverage of the Rags under GPC, hoping a team would hold out, only to see those cunts nick something right at the death. I can just picture the Rag fans going to the game hoping Palace would hang on, or maybe nick a goal, only for us to score in the 94th minute. I bet they were fucking gutted........and if they don't beat the Dippers their whole weekend will be ruined. Oh, and it's only Saturday, so they'd have two days of pain!

oh dear....... De Bruyne apart from a couple of misplaced passes IN HIS 1ST GAME was excellent

This was Palace in 2nd place and it was a scrap

You clearly weren't around when we were shit matey?!

De Bruyne created 3 one to one chances in his first 65 minutes for his new club. Shows how he managed to get so many assists for wolfsburg last season.

So Pellegrini is a twat, never learns, couldn't wait to go back to 4-4 fucking 2, never plays the kids etc etc etc.

Ooops!

So many loud voices before kick off nowhere to be seen yet again.

To the prick In the pre match thread who called Pellers a prick for his team selection, who is the prick now, prick?

Arrogance about what? He's definitely a better player than me! It's based on the facts that he provides/produces next to nothing game in game out. Ok he runs and tracks back and stretches the game with his width but that isn't enough to be a starter in this team with what we want to achieve.

Chelsea?

That's the type of win that wins the league.

-Navas doesn't desserve to be in the XI. Sorry Jesus.
-Thought Nasri was MOTM
-1 or 2 nice saves from Joe.
-Still 0 goals conceded. Wonderful.
-Great for Nacho. His confidence will get a huge boost.
-Bony isn't terrible but if I were an opponent seeing him on the team sheet wouldn't really scare me.
-overall thought it was the worst performance of the season so far. But, I'll take a 1-0 win every match.

I hope Sterling, Silva and Kun will be available for Juve

compared to last season
WBA - par
Chelsea - +2pts
Everton - +2pts
Watford - par
Palace - +3pts

Aguero just tweeted its nothing serious,

I was so relieved when Nacho scored I nearly fuckin passed out!! Lol

I had a horrible feeling that Pellegrini would go 442 today after we scored after switching to it against Watford and unfortunately he proved me right. The team selection and formation were wrong from the start hebce why we looked so disjointed especially with Nasri wide left and Yaya yet again left exposed in a central midfield 2.

Palace sought to exploit this early on by knocking cross field balls to Bolassie thus putting Kolarov under constant pressure. I'm gutted that Aguero got injured and the only positive that came out of that was we had to revert to one striker which made us much more solid.

In the second half, the penny must have dropped with MP as he set the team up as it should have been in the first place with Nasri going central behind the main striker. Once we made this formational change we put Palace under constant pressure for the first time in the match and we looked much more of a threat.

KDB was a better fit than Nasri out wide and played some superb balls which created havoc for Palace. Bony looks out of sorts and I would have brought Nacho on around the 70 minute mark at the latest. This kid is just a natural goal scorer and I just knew when he finally came on that he'd be the most likely to score for us. The boy is gonna be massive for us and I couldn't have been happier for him.

The one gripe I have right now is my suspicion that Pellegrini and his 442 will never be too far away. I saw it during the post-season tour of the US and he made a chilling post-match comment about it after the Watford game. This is definitely his preferred formation and I hate to say it, but I think its just a matter of time before it starts to become an issue again.

I hope to fuck he proves me wrong! All said and done its 5 played, all won and no goals conceded so far but now the CL and CoC are upon us and injuries are starting to bite the real tests regarding tactics, formations and player positions will start.
