There is more demand for brown eggs, hence the higher price. But you are correct, there is no difference.thinking back, for ages i only seem to remember eggs being brown in the uk.
here there are just as many white eggs and had jumped to the conclusion that they must be inferior because they were slightly cheaper.
i was wrong.
there is no nutritional difference at all.
the reason they are cheaper is because they come from hens with white feathers who need less food to produce the same quantity of eggs as the brown-feathered variety.
so i bought some and they are lovely.
