Pozo

Give Poza some credit he deserves .He held his own when thrown in middle of hacks and playing out of position .

It's down to him to make the most of the opportunity that is before him at this moment in time. He will without doubt be on loan next season but he is doing great to date.

if Dzeko is playing up top and Jovetic either in the team or 1st choice sub for up front or attacking midfield, Pozo is probably going to find himself on the bench quite a bit over xmas?

Yeah I'd say we'll see a good bit more of him over the next few matches. I'd love to see him as the second striker to Dzeko

he plays up front so wasn't really out of position. He might be better with someone up there with him but he is still a striker by trade and certainly not a midfield player.

Aguero's injury certainly gives him an opportunity he probably never imagined. He showed enough against Everton to suggest he will be a player,in fact, all things considered he displayed an excellent maturity.
I would hope he starts against Wednesday,i suspect we will see a far more influential performance if so.

In ideal circumstances Pozo would get a handfull of minutes on the pitch when we are playing well and leading comfortably. Instead, the team (and stadium) were shocked when Aguero went of injured so soon, he had to play against two very physical and experienced centrebacks who at that time of moment in the game were still fresh, and it was a debut PL-game. Not the easiest of circumstances and I understood it took him about 15-20 minutes to get going. In fact it took the whole team some time to get overthe Aguero-incident.
Pozo then found his stride a bit better and I thought he did very well. Only a wondersave from Howard denied him and he did a nice turn in the box with a shot at their goal. Shows how dangerous he can be in front of goal. He's best in creating and playing next or around a foreward. We will hopefully hear a lot more from him, maybe in the next few fixtures leading up to the New Year.

Serie A sides Juventus and Milan are monitoring Manchester City youngster Jose Angel Pozo, Goal can reveal.

The Spain Under-19 international scored on his City debut against Sheffield Wednesday in September and was handed a first Premier League start against Leicester City in December.

But a return to fitness for Sergio Aguero and the signing of Wilfried Bony has seen him fall further down the pecking order, and a number of clubs have been alerted to the former Real Madrid starlet's situation.

The Italian giants are hopeful that they will be able to tempt Pozo with more first team opportunities should he look to move on from the Blues.

The 18-year-old's current contract ends in the summer of 2016, and though City have begun preliminary talks on a new three-year deal, his wages are set to remain high for a player of his age.

A number of Bundesliga clubs are also interested in his services, though City would demand a hefty development fee should he leave the Etihad Stadium as he will qualify as a homegrown player at the end of the current campaign

He should be signed on a 3-4 year deal and loaned to Spain for 1-2 seasons.

No way should be sell him but we have so many options at the moment for #10

Derby County have been tipped to add to their five summer signings so far with reports linking with Jose Angel Pozo of Manchester City. The youngster started off at Real Madrid although left before Head Coach Paul Clement joined when Manchester City paid a fee of around £2.4 million for the forward in 2012. Pozo made three appearances for City last season and scored his first goal in the 7-0 victory over Sheffield Wednesday in the Capital One Cup.

The 19-year-old has reportedly been identified as a potential target, presumably on loan, with Pozo looking to pick up first team experience to aid his development.

I'd like to see Pozo go out on loan in England.

Very talented player, maybe not quite used to English football yet. Remember he had a long term injury at a key point in his development.

So much potential, I just think he needs to adjust to English football and a loan to a good Championship club would be perfect next season.

With all of the hand-wringing in the Lopes thread it a wonder to me that no one has mentioned Pozo. No 1st team announcement and no squad number, you've got to wonder where his future lies as it doesn't look like it is at city.

Was only thinking this last night. They must be willing to send him off for a year somewhere. What's his contract situation?

No surprise, as in my opinion he is currently a million miles away from being worthy of a squad place. I don't think he'll ever play regularly in the Premier League.

I wouldn't say he's a million miles away, hundreds maybe, but certainly not millions. ;) I think he's closer to being finished development-wise than the other EDS lads who've gone out on loan+purchase deals this Summer. His game just doesn't seem suited to our current style or to the PL; maybe a loan to Spain or Holland would suit for putting him in the shop window.

He just needs to play at this stage of his career. He won't get the chance with us so I think Derby is a good move. They play good football and have a good manager.
