Same, Newcastle are the real deal for me. No European football is a huge advantage for them.

Honestly would swap a UCL win for the league with pleasure, Arsenal are here to stay and the premier league is the worst it’s been for a while they are taking advantage beating teams they should be, I don’t see them losing 2 games and watching West Ham tonight proves it, absolutely pathetic no desire to do anything positive after scoring and indeed after conceding the equaliser.

I certainly won’t be giving up until it’s mathematically impossible but honestly as said would swap finishing 2nd for a UCL would of course prefer both though.

I said at the start of the season that Arsenal would run us close (much to the levity of some on here). Now we find ourselves in a spot where we cannot really go dropping many points and the head to head games will be huge.
I still fancy us to edge it but we are not necessarily stronger across the squad than in seasons where we hunted down the opposition.

As I said, you're perfectly entitled to your opinion. And I can see why you might think the way you do. However, we've won 6 PL titles in the last 11 seasons. Only two of them were won "easily" (the 17/18 and 20/21 campaigns). 3 of the other 4 were won from behind,and the other one (last season) was won with the scousers having reeled in a 14 (?) pt deficit on us, and breathing down our necks. That tells me that the psyche at the club is strong, and that "chasing" doesn't frighten us.

As for City,relax,Haaland gonna get about 40,Alvarez will chip in with a good dozen,as well as the normal contribution from the usual suspects which will seal us the title

They weren’t a main rival when we sold them. They haven’t finished in the top four for six years on the spin.

You have to sell players to bring new players in. We shipped out two squad players and replaced them with Haaland and Alverez. And still made a profit. I doubt there’s a City fan alive who would change that.

You can’t pick and choose where players go when you sell them. There isn’t a big pile of shit clubs, who have no chance of ever being a threat to us, with £75 million to spend on our fringe players. Even ignoring the fact the players wouldn’t want to go to such clubs.
