It's Buridan not Burdian but I'm not sure whether it's got much to do with the Devo song. Buridan's thesis was essentially about free will not freedom of choice. But this piece ( "Incoherent ramblings of an undiagnosed lunatic" ) makes the connection about why we choose people to make choices for us. Just don't choose a narcissistic sociopath.

Nothing worse IMO outside starvation and mans inhumanity to man and the environment that keeps man breathing than kids that through no fault of their own are dealt a rotten set of cards and we often forget how trivial these forums are despite differences of opinions.

We don't always agree on certain subjects in the political sphere but I believe as a rule you prosecute a good case and I enjoy our odd exchange.

Bollocks. Nixon actively undermined the Paris peace talks that were ongoing during the 1968 presidential election through the back door, and succeeded in ending them. He was campaigning on ending the war and if those peace talks actually achieved that then he wouldn't have won, which he knew and so he sabotaged them. He then escalated the war, and worse he took it into Cambodia and Laos. To be fair, that post was very bollocks

He was a maniac. What he did at the Paris talks just before the 1968 election was outright treason. Throughout the Trump term I was constantly taken with the identical behaviour and tactics, exactly what Nixon did. That is no surprise either considering that both had Roger Stone.

Agree we don’t see eye-to-eye on many things but I appreciate your thoughts and of course your top-quality taste in music! Non-profit work is very rewarding and I hope to do more of it as I near retirement from for-profit work.
