Prostate cancer

Don’t overthink it - at the end of the day, you need to get to that biopsy because nothing can be diagnosed or ruled out without it.

FYI, it usually takes at least 10 days to get the results of a biopsy. Best of luck getting through the next week or so.
Good Luck Inch,
As per great post Rob.
It’s a long process and a lot to process.
As I’ve stated before the internet can be an enemy at this point stay on the straight and narrow of NHS and prostate cancer uk websites for help and advice.
Good luck inchy and keep us posted mate.

Update;

Had bloods done Monday evening, got a call Tuesday morning to say doctor wants me in at the earliest appointment they had for the biopsy so next Thursday now. Not sure if the timeframe is good or bad news tbh.

Fingers crossed.
Good luck Inchy lad.
I had the dreaded finger up the jacksy today after having my bloods done a few week back. Bloods normal and nothing untowards up there. Its been a bit of a double check up because I had polyps about 6 years back. Dr Shah has sent me to have a colonscoptamy(pardon the spelling) mainly because I want to be checked out. It's because of this thread and especially A57 Snake, I am doing this. Well played boys, the more we talk about this and get it out there, then the more people like me will go n get checked out. Good luck to you all who are going through this right now.

I dont have the big C. I've had 2 biopsies and several MRI scans at Hope. I have the enlarged prostate. I'm 7 weeks post TURP surgery. No more Tamsulosin or Finasteride. Peeing like a good un. Everything OK except for an occasional dash and pre pee dribbles, but advised that will get less and less over time. Hope it does as been advised if they need to give me tablets I'll be on them for life. Good luck to you all awaiting news or treatment.

Just a quick note for those who have been diagnosed with prostate cancer and have or received or receiving treatment.
If you’re planning a holiday it’s best to declare it on your holiday insurance as any mishap could leave you invalid.
We’re going to Greece next month and Mrs snake just sauced one from puffin travel insurance (gold) . Only £75 excess .
Just worth looking into. Just be careful some quotes were outrageous.
But best to declare it really doesn’t bump it that much.
Enjoy your summer.,

I’ve had/got loads of short trips this summer. We usually have a family annual policy but this is a no-go now. My wife and kids now have a separate policy - £70 for the year for all 3 of them.

For the last few trips, I’ve used Admiral - costs £20-£30 per weekend, but you are able to declare Prostate Cancer and what stage of treatment you are at. Admiral are a known name so it seems pretty reasonable to me.
