Prostate cancer

I was diagnosed with Prostate cancer two and half years ago. Had Chemotherapy, Radiotherapy and stopped Hormone Therapy a few months back. My cancer had already spread so the operation was a no go. The first thing I would do is drink decaff coffee and tea. If your diet isn't great, change that too, Find out what the Superfoods are and introduce them to your eating. Food and drink are important. I had half a spoonful Ginger and Termaric everyday and also a tablespoon of Cider Vinegar, tastes awful but its really good for you. All these things help. I was informed by Christie's the cancer feeds on meat, Bacon Sausage and any processed meat like Ham being the worst, so I stopped eating them too. Do exercise every day, even if its just a walk round the park, take vitamin D, B1 and B12. Go on the cancer websites, there's loads of information out there. Christie's is a wonderful place with great people but they haven't lived with cancer. Talk to people who have. The mental side can be as hard as the treatment side but its all doable. You sound positive and that will go a long way. Chemo was tough but that's also doable and Radiotherapy wears you down a bit. Most of all enjoy life, go for a pint or a dance or whatever is your thing. Good luck. Up the blues.
Very much appreciated all these words and advice mate thank you.

My Uncle got it just after turning 50. Pretty bleak prognosis to start with but through the relative treatment and completely changing his lifestyle managed to beat it. Not going to say he is like he was before because he isn't. But he's still here, still grafting his bollocks off and loving life. All the best to you mate, go and kick it's fucking arse.

Good luck blue. My dad was diagnosed a couple of years back and his was aggressive, high on the gleeson scale. They took the gland out and hes on radiotherapy and hormones ans looks to be ok and hes In his late 70s. Its one of the more treatable cancers even if its aggressive. Hope everything goes well.

So glad it all ended up well mate that’s given more encouragement as it’s extremely similar to myself. And thank you for sharing your story.

Sounds horrific what you went through, the human body has fantastic recovery powers, good to hear you and your brother are doing well, big encouragement for those suffering from this silent assassin.

Had my first cup this morning, very nice, I’ll alternate it with my green and lemon and ginger tea, think I overpaid but I get 72 brews for the price of 3 pints, cheers, literally :-)
It's great stuff, shop around next time ;) great health benefits combined with the green tea..
